WAITING TIME. (A) Consistent with this Article XIII, Employees are entitled to payment for a lost shift in instances where the Employer, at its discretion, determines no work will be performed on a scheduled work day (“Waiting Time”). Journeymen and Helpers shall be paid Waiting Time for any day(s) or regular shift(s) lost during the normal scheduled work week. For any day lost during any one work week, the Waiting Time payment shall be a lump sum which is the equivalent of four (4) hours’ pay plus per diem, if applicable, for Journeymen and three (3) hours’ pay plus per diem, if applicable, for Helpers. Such payment shall be at the straight time rate applicable on that particular job. Employees shall not receive any fringe benefit contributions as part of any Waiting Time payment.
WAITING TIME. The waiting time to be excluded in computing the duration of the writer's employment shall not exceed three (3) days following delivery of material, and such waiting time shall not be compensable. In the event that the same writer is employed to write any combination of story, treatment or original treatment, first draft screenplay, final draft screenplay or screenplay, such waiting time shall be cumulative. "Excess waiting time," as used in this Article 13.A., means waiting time in excess of the waiting time to be excluded as provided in this subparagraph 6. If the writer is called into conference on any day or instructed to perform any services on any day, such day may not be included in waiting time. Sundays and holidays generally recognized in the motion picture industry shall be excluded in computing waiting time.
WAITING TIME. A. Employees who are assigned a mid-day run shall be paid their regular hourly rate for the shortest waiting period either prior to or after the mid-day run and may be assigned job related tasks during this period of time.
