Waiting Period. A permanent or probationary employee who has not attained their normal retirement age and who has completed ninety (90) calendar days of continuous civic employment since the last date they commenced employment as a permanent or probationary employee with the City shall be a member of the Long Term Disability Plan. However, an employee who is absent from work on the date that they would have been eligible to participate in the Long Term Disability Plan shall not be eligible to participate in the Plan until they have returned to work for the City for a period of at least ten (10) consecutive days of work.
