WAGE AND SALARY SCHEDULE. See Rate Schedules at back of contract. Where the driver is not required to work due to school closure, each day will be deducted from the employee's holiday entitlement. Effective July 1, 2020, Bus drivers will have the option of attending professional development opportunities on non- instructional days with pay. Should Bus drivers not attend a professional development opportunity they will have the choice of having that day deducted from the employee’s holiday entitlement, banked time or leave without pay at the employee’s direction. Where school closure days exceed the holiday entitlement under Article 13, no further deduction will be made to compensate the Board. (This applies only to employees hired before July 1st, 2002). Bus drivers attending scheduled activities on a non-instructional day will be paid for time in attendance.

Lead Custodian coverage shall be on a rotational basis based on seniority amongst the top four (4) senior custodians. Employees shall, at the discretion of the Superintendent/Director, under consultation with the Director of Plant Services, be dismissed early or shall have their shift arrival times altered during inclement weather. The Committee shall pay one custodian who has been pool certified an annual stipend of $1,500 for the 1st shift pool certified custodian and one at $750 for the 2nd shift pool certified custodian. If another bargaining unit in the Greater Xxxxxx Technical High School ratifies a greater wage increase in any of the years covered by this contract, the parties agree to reopen the contract for the sole purpose of discussing wages.

WAGE AND SALARY SCHEDULE. (a) Appendix A. A wage and salary agreement set forth in Appendix A shall be observed during the term of this Agreement. Appendix A shall reflect a 2.0% increase for 2014 with a 1.0% lump sum in July, and a 1.0% increase for 2015. In the year 2015, if any other bargaining unit receives a larger increase, then the unit shall receive the same increase. The parties shall reopen the contract in 2016 for the sole purpose of determining the wage increase, if any, for 2016. Pursuant to MCL § 423.251b, after the expiration date of a collective bargaining agreement and until a successor collective bargaining agreement is in place, a public employer shall pay and provide wages and benefits at levels and amounts that are no greater than those in effect on the expiration date of the collective bargaining agreement. Accordingly, there will be no retro pay. Step 1 shall be 75% of Step 2.
