Voluntary Vision Plan. Beginning with the 2017 plan year, active permanent full- time and active permanent part-time employees will be offered the opportunity to enroll in a voluntary vision plan. Employees will pay the full premium costs of the plan. The County will contract with a provider for a voluntary vision plan with no co-pays. The vision plan is not available to temporary or permanent-intermittent employees.

Reimbursement will be made subject to applicable Auditor’s Office procedures and requirements. Effective Plan Year 2017, employees shall be eligible to participate in the Alameda County Voluntary Vision Plan. The premium cost shall be paid by the employee. Effective February 1, 2017, the above paragraphs related to the Vision Reimbursement Plan shall no longer apply.
