Voluntary Part Time. Those employees in a voluntary part time, or job-share position shall be required to attend the following Staff Development Days: 1st official teacher work day; all ½ day and full day Staff Development Days as adopted in the school year calendar; all parent/teacher conferences; and other school related meetings which would normally be attended by a full-time employee. Voluntary or job-share employees need to report to staff meetings when not scheduled to work. Employees that work in two (2) or more buildings shall make arrangements with the building administration to attend an equivalent number of staff meetings to that of a full-time employee. If the administration requests voluntary part time or job-share employees to attend additional training, curriculum development or other school related functions, a minimum of two (2) week’s notice will be given and said employee has the right to decline attendance. The current maximum sub rate will be paid for the time worked.

Voluntary Part Time. A. A voluntary, part-time bargaining unit member is defined as one who voluntarily becomes a (.4), (.5), (.6). (.75) or (.8) teacher. This person will have the right to be reinstated to a full-time position based on seniority and certification. Notification of his/her intent to return to full-time status for the succeeding year shall be made in writing to the personnel office by March 1 of the preceding school year. Failure to notify by this date forfeits the bargaining unit member’s right to return to full-time status for the succeeding year.

  • Voluntary Part-time Benefits If the local parties agree, the Hospital will provide part-time employees with the option of voluntary participation in any and all of the group health and welfare benefit programs set out in Article 18.01. The Employer agrees to deduct from the wages of any employee who is a member of the Union a DRIVE and/or a Teamsters Legal Defense Fund deduction as provided for in a written authorization. The beginning and/or termination of this deduction will coincide with the payroll cycle.   • Temporary Part-Time A temporary appointment less than full time. A temporary part-time employee will be paid on a monthly, hourly, or fixed partial monthly salary basis. Any applicable benefits will be calculated on a partial monthly or pay period, pay status basis, whichever is appropriate.

  • Permanent Part-Time A permanent position less than permanent full-time. A permanent part-time employee will be paid on a fixed partial monthly or hourly salary basis, and all benefits will be calculated on a partial monthly or pay period, pay status basis. All permanent part-time employees whose work hours are regularly scheduled (work hours are based on a predetermined schedule) shall be paid on a fixed partial monthly basis.

  • Voluntary Demotion or Voluntary Reduction in Hours An employee has a right to his regularly assigned time, and shall not have it involuntarily reduced. Employees who take voluntary demotions or voluntary reductions in assigned time in lieu of layoff shall be, at the employee’s option, returned to a position in their former class or to present former positions with increased assigned time as vacancies become available, for a period of five (5) years and three (3) months, except that they shall be ranked in accordance with their seniority on any valid reemployment list.

  • Voluntary Benefits The Board will make optional voluntary group benefits 25 available to all eligible employees. Employees who participate in voluntary benefits must do so at 26 their own expense or with available Flex Credits. Voluntary benefits shall be recommended by the 27 Insurance Task Force and approved by the Board.

  • Voluntary Demotion An employee requesting a voluntary demotion from a higher-rated position and who is subsequently demoted to the lower-rated position, shall be paid on the increment step appropriate to the employee’s continuous service with the Employer. A voluntary demotion shall not change an employee’s anniversary date.

  • Voluntary Layoff Appointing authorities will allow an employee in the same job classification and department where layoffs will occur to volunteer to be laid off provided that the employee is in a position requiring the same skills and abilities, as a position subject to layoff. Any volunteer for layoff shall have no formal layoff option. If the appointing authority accepts the employee’s voluntary request for layoff, the employee will submit a non-revocable letter stating they are accepting a voluntary layoff from the University. The employee will be placed on all applicable rehire lists.
