Voluntary Assistance a. Employees may request, subject to approval, to use vacation, paid sick leave, or medical leave of absence to voluntarily enter inpatient medically supervised rehabilitation facilities. Rehabilitation leave is subject to reasonable limitation and the employer's insurance policy.
Voluntary Assistance. Employees experiencing problems with drug or alcohol addiction are encouraged to seek assistance on their own. Such assistance is available through the City’s employee assistance program through Wellspring E.A.P. Participation in a voluntary rehabilitation program will be viewed positively. Because the City and the Union encourage voluntary participation in a rehabilitation program, such voluntary participation shall not be grounds for disciplinary action in any form. However, such participation will not relieve the employee of his or her responsibilities to perform assigned duties or meet the provisions of this policy. The City may, however, require standard medical verification of the employee’s ability to safely perform the job duties.

Voluntary Assistance. The Customs Authorities shall provide each other, in accordance with their laws and regulations, with assistance that they consider necessary for the correct application of customs legislation, particularly when they obtain information pertaining to: 1. operations which have contravened, contravene or would contravene such legislation and which may be of interest of the other Contracting Party; 2. new means or methods used in committing such operations; 3. goods known to be subject to substantial contravention of customs legislation; 4. enforcement techniques that might be useful in customs control and supervision, including the experiences obtained from the application of those techniques. Article 5 Technical Cooperation The Customs Authorities of the Contracting Parties shall, with their mutual benefits, cooperate with each other in the area of customs matters including: 1. exchange of customs experts for the purpose of enhancing the customs expertise and techniques; 2. exchange of information and experience in the usage of the interdiction and detection equipments; 3. exchange of professional, scientific and technical data relating to customs legislation and procedures; and 4. exchange of information on actions undertaken with third countries in the framework of the Council of Customs Cooperation.   • Mandatory Assistance If a third party dispute or litigation, or both, arises out of, or relates in any way to the services provided to the City under a Contract, Contractor , its agents, officers, and employees agree to assist in resolving the dispute or litigation upon City’s request.   • Tuition Assistance Bargaining unit employees can enroll in university or college, vocational technical school or extension courses. The course may be by correspondence or attendance at classes during non-working hours or during working hours with approval of the Agency Head and/or his/her Designee. Where practicable, in relation to work requirements, the Employer shall be liberal with the approval of requests for accrued/unused vacation leave, flex-time scheduling, compensatory time, or leave without pay for the purpose of enabling employees to attend classes conducted during an employee's regularly scheduled work hours.

  • Roadside Assistance If you purchase the optional Roadside Assistance, we will provide you with 24/7 breakdown assistance (where available) without additional charge. Roadside Assistance includes replacement of lost keys or key fobs, flat tire service, jumpstart, and key lockout services. When deciding whether to purchase Roadside Assistance, you may wish to check whether you have you have other coverage for the services. Roadside Assistance is not insurance. Roadside Assistance is void if you are in breach of this Agreement, including the prohibited uses in paragraph 5.

  • Educational Assistance To qualify for reimbursement, an employee must be a regular employee upon enrollment. To be approved, the courses described below must be related to the employee's present position or career development:
