Common use of Violence Policies and Procedures Clause in Contracts

Violence Policies and Procedures. The Employer agrees to develop, in consultation with the Joint Health and Safety Committee or Health and Safety representatives, formalized explicit policies and procedures to deal with violence. The policy will address the prevention or workplace violence, the management of violent situations, support to nurses who have faced violence. The policy and procedures shall be part of the nurse’s health and safety policy and written copies shall be provided to each nurse at time of hire. Prior to implementing any changes to these policies, the Employer agrees to consult with the Union and the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC).
