Vertical load. The vertical load-measuring transducer shall measure the vertical load at the test position during brake application. The transducer shall have the same specifications as described previously. Signal conditioning and recording system: All signal conditioning and recording equipment shall provide linear output with necessary gain and data reading resolution to meet the specified previous requirements. In addition, the following requirements apply:
Vertical load. Attach the hinge system to the mounting provision of the test fixture. Hinge attitude must simulate the vehicle position (door fully closed) relative to the hinge centreline. For test purposes, the load is to be applied centreline of the hinge pin in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal and transverse loads. Apply the test load at a rate not to exceed 5 mm/min until the required load is achieved. Failure consists of a separation of either hinge. Record the maximum load achieved.
