Common use of Vendor Qualifications Clause in Contracts

Vendor Qualifications. The Vendor's ability to maintain its contract with the City will be contingent upon Vendors maintaining its "Premier" Business Partner Status each year and receiving a satisfactory score on the City's annual vendor satisfaction report process. This process will be a satisfaction survey of City departments that have purchased equipment during January to December of each year. The survey will include, but not limited to, meeting agreed to delivery deadlines and problem resolution. Vendor must provide a copy of the letter of certification from IBM during February of each year during the life of the contract with the City. If Vendor loses its premier status from IBM, Vendor must advise the City’s Contracting Services Buyer within three (3) days of notification by IBM. Vendor must have a local representative and/or an office within 65 miles of the legal City limits of the City of Seattle. The local representative and/or office must have a legal address with telephone, FAX and mail access for the customers of the City of Seattle to contact during the term of this contract. If the local representative and/or office address changes, then the Vendor must notify the City of Seattle by mail, within 30 days of moving to the new address. The new address must be within the 65 mile limit. The City deems important that the vendor representative be easily accessible and readily available, occasionally at a moment’s notice, for meetings, on-site visits for pre-installation planning, and resolving service issues as appropriate.
