Common use of Vehicle Safety Clause in Contracts

Vehicle Safety. Section Drivers or Operators shall not be required to operate any vehicle which, in the operator's opinion, violates safety requirements. It shall be the driver's responsibility to report in writing to the Management or Garage Xxxxxxx, any vehicle considered unsafe. Such vehicle shall be "tagged" OUT OF SERVICE until properly repaired. Executive Shop Stewards Section Executive Officers of the Union or Shop Stewards, who are required to attend meetings at the call of the Union, shall be allowed time off by the Company.
