Common use of Variation of period of parental leave Clause in Contracts

Variation of period of parental leave. Where an employee takes leave under clause 25.2 (Basic Entitlement) or clause 25.11 (Right to request), unless otherwise agreed between the employer and employee, and employee may apply to their employer to change the period of parental leave on one occasion. Any such change is to be notified as soon as possible, but no less than 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the changed arrangements. Nothing in this clause shall detract from any entitlements set out in clauses 25.2 and 25.11.

Nothing in this clause shall detract detracts from any entitlements set out the basic entitlement in clauses 25.2 and 25.118.3.
