VACATIONS PAY. Employees covered by this agreement shall be granted with pay on the following basis. Calculation of vacations shall be based on August Length of Service Period of Vacation Approximate Vacation Pay Equivalency months no. of months months Vacations are to be taken during July and August when practicable. Custodial staff must complete their vacation period one (Iw)eek prior to Labour Day. Employees with years of service or more, vacations to be taken at a mutually agreeable time, during the calendar year. Employees with less than years of service must take all of their vacation up to weeks vacation during July and August, except as allowed under Article Employees with less than twenty (20) years of service may make application to take vacations outside of the normal July and August vacation period. The granting of such requests will be made at the sole discretion of the Board. Maintenance staff may take vacation at any time during the year but a vacation period of more than three (3) weeks during the months of July and August will be at the discretion of the Superintendent of Business and Plant. For each week of vacation (up to a maximum of three weeks) not taken during the months of July and August, a one-half day bonus (up to a maximum of one and one-half days) will be paid. An employee may request time off in lieu of the paid bonus. When an employee is granted a leave of absence, with salary deduction, which aggregates twenty (20) working days or more during a calendar year, vacation pay and entitlement shall be prorated according to time worked. An employee on paid sick leave, wage loss, or will accumulate vacation credits for up to one year from the date of disability, and will resume accumulation upon return to work. VACATIONS PAY. The Company will shut-down for a period of two (2) weeks for the annual vacation. The Company shall have the option of: (A) scheduling the two (2) week shut-down for all shifts for the same two (2) week period; or scheduling the two (2) week shut-down at different times for each of the day, afternoon and night shifts. the event the Company designates different annual shut-downs for the day, afternoon and night shifts, it will announce such designation by January 15th of each year. The Employer has the option of scheduling a two (2) week shut-down for the night shift at the same time as the day or afternoon shifts. The Company agrees to give the employees covered by this Agreement who have the necessary service as of the 1st day of May in any vacation year, and who are in the employ of the Company at the date of shut-down, a vacation pay based on the following schedule: any employee with less than one (1) year's service with the Company shall receive a vacation pay equal to four (4%) per cent of his total wages earned for the twelve (12) month period immediately prior to the first pay day following May in any vacation year; any employee who has been in the service of the Company for one (1) year or more shall be given a vacation of two (2) weeks and receive vacation pay equal to four percent (4%) of his total wages earned during the period of twelve (12) months prior to the first pay day following May in any vacation year; any employee who has been in the service of the Company for four (4) years or more shall be given a vacation of two (2) weeks and receive vacation pay equal to five percent (5%) of his total wages earned during the period of twelve (12) months prior to the first pay day following May in any vacation year; any employee who has been in the service of the Company for eight (8) years or more shall be given a vacation of three (3) weeks and receive vacation pay equal to six (6%) per cent of his total wages earned during the period of twelve (12) months prior to the first pay day following May 1st in any vacation year; any employee who has been in the service of the Company for thirteen (13) years or more shall be given a vacation of four (4) weeks and receive vacation pay equal to eight (8%) per cent of his total wages earned during the period of twelve (12) months prior to the first pay day following May 1st in any vacation year; any employee who has been in the service of the Company for twenty (20) years or more shall be given a vacation of...

VACATIONS PAY. Section Vacation Pay for Employees with Less than One Year's Employment All employees with less than one (1) ear of employment shall receive vacation pay in accordance with the regulations under the Canada Labour Standards Code as of July or any subsequent amendment thereto.

VACATIONS PAY. An employee entitled under Section 6.04 Vacations: Amount will be paid for vacation at the employee's regular compensation rate. An employee may choose to sell back up to seventy (70) vacation hours. Such selection must be made in writing by the employee to the Human Resources Office no later than November first (1st). If November 1st is a weekend or a day that is not open to normal business hours, such selection must be made by close of business of the Human Resources Office on the last business day prior to November 1st. The Human Resources office will send out notification to all employees of the deadline at least two (2) weeks in advance. Payment will be made in the final pay check of the calendar year.
VACATIONS PAY. Cultural Assistants receive four percent (4%) vacation pay unless arrangements are made at the time of appointment to take vacation with pay pro-rated on the basis of an annual full-time vacation entitlement of two weeks.
