Vacations Holidays. Employee shall be entitled to at least four ------------------- (4) weeks of paid vacation each year and all holidays observed by NOVA.
Vacations Holidays. 1. The annual vacation allowance for Residents employed for a twelve (12) month period shall be four (4) weeks. With the permission of the Chairman of the Department, Residents shall be permitted to split vacation time or use it as a whole unit at the Resident's choice. Such permission shall not be unreasonably denied.
2. When, due to the needs of a given service, it is necessary to limit vacations, they may be limited to the extent of one week only per Resident at the discretion of his/her Department Director, and pay for lost vacation shall be granted.
3. Anything to the contrary herein notwithstanding, lesser vacation benefits may be provided where appropriate Specialty Boards require lesser vacation terms and pay for lost vacation shall be granted.
4. Anything to the contrary herein notwithstanding, pay in lieu of vacation shall be provided in the case of residents serving their first year of residency, where full Resident coverage in the given service cannot, in the discretion of the appropriate Department Director, be obtained.
5. Vacations must be taken during the year they are accrued.

Vacations Holidays. A Vacation - Twelve month bargaining unit members shall receive paid vacation time after they have worked at least six months. During the first year, the employee will earn up to five (5) vacation days at the rate of one (1) per month beginning with the seventh month. In each succeeding year they may earn one (1) additional day per year up to a maximum of ten (10) vacation days per year for years six through eight. After year eight they may earn one additional day per year up to a maximum of fifteen (15) vacation days per year. Vacation days must be used between June 15th and August 15th unless alternate dates are mutually agreed to by the Employee and Superintendent or his/her supervisor designee. Scheduling of vacation dates must be made with the employee's supervisor so as to minimize the impact of the absence. Should more than one employee request the same date(s), the affected bargaining unit member having the greatest seniority shall be granted his/her preferred vacation date(s) if necessary. Vacation dates must be used within a calendar year of their being earned unless otherwise authorized in writing by the superintendent or his/her supervisor designee. Requests for “alternate” vacation days and “carry over” vacation days must be made in writing using the Alternate Vacation Days Request Form (See Appendix B).
Vacations Holidays. The Executive shall be entitled to vacation days in accordance with the applicable vacation policies for comparable senior executives of the Company established by the Board, which shall be no less than three (3) weeks per year and which shall be taken at a reasonable time or times. The Executive shall be entitled to all public holidays observed by the Company.
Vacations Holidays. A. The school year for members in the unit covered by this Agreement shall begin on July 1st and end on June 30th following and shall include (15) vacation days and such holidays throughout the year as enjoyed by teachers in the Toms River Schools. After ten (10) years of service to the Toms River School system, members will be entitled to an additional five (5) vacation days making a total of twenty (20) vacation days.
B. It is agreed that a maximum of five (5) vacation days can be taken while school is in session. Any requests for additional vacation time during the school year must be submitted in writing to the Superintendent or his designee and must have written approval.
C. Members with less than one (1) year service shall be entitled to a pro- rated vacation schedule based on the number of months of employment, whether it be in fully appointed or acting capacity. The calculation of said vacation days will be based upon fifteen (15) per year.
D. Vacation entitlement must be used by June 30th of each year.
E. The Director of Transportation, Vehicle Maintenance/Grounds Supervisor, will be responsible for the coordination of snow emergency and removal procedure in the district. Each will receive a stipend in the amount of five hundred ($500.00) dollars for this responsibility. This stipend will cover twenty (20) hours of additional time beyond the normal workday. If the season warrants additional time beyond the twenty (20) hours, the individuals named will receive additional compensation at the rate of twenty-five ($25.00) dollars per hour. The additional compensation must be approved by the Assistant Superintendent in charge of the department.
