Vacation Scheduling. (a) Vacations taken during the summer months, June to September will be limited to two weeks. Vacation Scheduling. The City and Union agree and acknowledge that they utilize a vacation schedule based upon a calendar year (i.e. January 1 to December 31). The effective vacation schedule period shall be referred to herein as the “Vacation Year.” On January 1, 2013, members received eight-twelfths of their normal number of vacation hours (rounded up to the nearest full hour). Vacation Scheduling. Vacation shall be scheduled in accordance with seniority. Vacation Scheduling. Vacations The District may establish certain periods within the school year when vacation may not be taken. Such periods may vary for individual bargaining unit members or groups of members in the best interests of and at the sole discretion of the District. The District shall announce such periods in writing when they are established. Written notice of changes to the established periods shall be given within a reasonable period of time. School session bargaining unit members are encouraged to utilize vacation during non-instructional days. Vacation requests shall be approved/denied in advance by the immediate supervisor or department head. If the employee does not receive approval/denial said request shall be deemed approved if the employee possesses verification of the supervisor’s or department head’s receipt of the request. Vacation Scheduling. The City and Union agree and acknowledge that they utilize a vacation schedule based upon a calendar year (i.e. January 1 to December 31). The effective vacation schedule period shall be referred to herein as the “Vacation Year.” On January 1, 2013, members received eight-twelfths of their normal number of vacation hours (rounded up to the nearest full hour). On January 1 of each subsequent year, Members shall be entitled to the full compliment of vacation hours as listed in the table above. Beginning January 1st By December 1 of each year, in each department, the Company through its working supervisor, Employer shall ask each employee in each department their issue a vacation preference for log to be used by employees during the first, second and third two (2) week period following issuance of the log to select vacations from available vacation time. Employees may only use vacation time during periods of time after the vacation has accrued. There shall be a first round of vacation entitlementselections in which employees on a shift may select, in order of rank seniority, one (1) or two (2) forty (40) hour periods of vacation, either consecutively or otherwise. In a second round of vacation selections, immediately following the first round, employees on a shift may select vacation time, in order of rank seniority, any remaining vacation in forty (40) hour blocks. Employees will also indicate their preference for any remaining weeks In all cases of conflict regarding a choice of vacation entitlementperiod between two or more employees, the name of the employee to whom the contested vacation period has been awarded by the Centre shall be posted. This article applies to staff working in the Food and Nutrition Services Department covered by this contract. Vacation leave shall be covered by the provisions of the Leave of Absence clause. The vacation year shall be April 1st to March each year. The available times for vacation will be posted starting on January (or following business day) and will be taken down after January (or following business day) of each year. During the posting period employees may submit a written request for vacation for the coming year. Each vacation request requires a separate written request form. The request can be for one (1) week continuous vacation period or multiple time periods throughout the year. All vacation requests will then be allocated on the basis of seniority provided that staffing requirements of the Centre permit. When qualifying employees in a work area desire the same or overlapping vacation period, which is not possible because of the staffing requirements of the Centre, the seniority of the employees directly concerned shall any assignment of vacations. Vacation Scheduling.
