Vacation Privileges. Except as herein provided, no vacation privileges shall accrue during military leave. However, vacation privileges already earned but not taken may be granted either prior to or after return from military leave in accordance with the vacation policy in effect at the time the vacation leave is taken. Vacation privileges, as defined in Article 12 of this Agreement, shall accrue to an employee while on temporary military leave.

Vacation Privileges. 22.01 The Company recognizes the need for rest and recreation on the part of its employees who are in the active employ of the Company.

Vacation Privileges. 21.01 The Company recognizes the need for rest and relaxation on the part of employees and has therefore provided the following vacation plan: Since vacations are granted as a period of change and rest for the general good of employees, continuous service without a vacation but with extra compensation is not regarded as good for employees, therefore, employees may not elect to receive pay in lieu of vacation. Employees will be paid vacation pay prior to the commencement of their vacation, and all deductions usually made from an employee’s earnings will be made from their vacation pay. The choice of vacation period(s) for each employee shall be subject to the Company’s staff requirements and will be approved by the Company. If more than one employee chooses the same vacation periods and the Company deems it necessary to limit the number of employees that may be on vacation at any particular time, seniority will determine the employee that will be granted that particular time off for vacation.
