Vacation Pick a. All employees may split up one of their earned week’s vacation into days. The five days will be treated the same as personal or bonus days. Request for said day will be at the discretion of the Superintendent of Maintenance.

Vacation Pick. Any employee requesting a vacation of two weeks or more for June 1 through Labor Day must apply no later than May 15. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Chief of Police. An employee requesting five (5) or more consecutive days of vacation must submit a vacation leave request three (3) months in advance. Exceptions must be approved by a member of Command Staff. All other vacation requests must be submitted seven (7) days prior to the date(s) requested. The Chief of Police may hire an experienced, full-time certified (or MCJA waiver eligible) officer as a lateral hire and compensate that officer year for year for wages and vacation. For the purpose of computing continuous service, it is agreed that time incurred while employee is on leave of absence, absent because of sickness or disability, or on a lay-off of less than twelve (12) months duration shall be time worked.
Vacation Pick. Vacation pick rules associated with the SDA (if any) shall apply. Any vacation pick rules associated with the represented employee’s Appendix shall not apply.

  • Weeks Vacation Subject to Article 17.08 and Article 17.01 (a) (ii), employees shall be entitled to take five (5) weeks vacation leave with pay during the first and subsequent complete fiscal years following the date in which they complete fourteen (14) years of service. Such leave shall be earned at the rate of two and one-twelfth (2 1/12) days for each completed calendar month of service.

  • Sick Leave While on Vacation An employee who while on vacation is incapacitated for one (1) or more days due to personal illness or injury may charge such days to accrued sick leave. In such event, the employee promptly shall notify his department, and upon return to duty shall substantiate the need for, and use of, sick leave.

  • Vacation Buy Back Employees shall have the option of requesting pay in lieu of time off up to a maximum of 144 hours of vacation time each year, during each year of the contract in increments of eight (8) hrs. Such requests are subject to the approval of the department head and the availability of funds.

  • Vacation During the Employment Period, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation in accordance with the most favorable plans, policies, programs and practices of the Company and its affiliated companies as in effect for the Executive at any time during the 120-day period immediately preceding the Effective Date or, if more favorable to the Executive, as in effect generally at any time thereafter with respect to other peer executives of the Company and its affiliated companies.

  • Vacation Planning The following general rules shall be observed in implementing the vacation planning program:

  • Vacation Payout Where an employee requests in writing to have a specific number of vacation days paid out, and the Employer agrees to the request, the Employer will issue pay in lieu of vacation. Pay in lieu of vacation, if agreed, will be granted only after a minimum of 15 days' vacation time has already been taken in the year.
