Vacation for Full. Time Employees (260 days): Annual vacation shall be authorized by the employing department or building supervisor at a time most convenient to the work schedule of the department or building but, insofar as possible, in accordance with the wishes of the employee in any amount up to the total of the employee’s earned vacation time. Vacation pay will be allowed upon the employee's resignation from the District with fourteen (14) days' notice of intent to resign.

Vacation for Full. Time Registered Nurses (i) Nurses with one year or more of continuous service, but less than three (3) years of continuous services shall be entitled to three (3) weeks annual vacation with pay. (ii) Nurses with three (3) years of continuous service but less than thirteen (13) years of continuous service shall be entitled to four (4) weeks annual vacation with pay. (iii) Nurses with thirteen (13) years or more of continuous service but less than twenty-two (22) years of continuous service shall be entitled to five (5) weeks of annual vacation with pay. (iv) Nurses with twenty-two (22) years or more of continuous service shall be entitled to six (6) weeks of annual vacation with pay. (v) Nurses at twenty-five (25) years or more of continuous service shall be entitled to seven (7) weeks of annual vacation.

Vacation for Full. Time Twelve (121 Month and Full-Time Ten UP) Month Employees Other Than Teaching Assistants Vacations shall be taken at a time or times mutually agreeable to the employee and the District. For vacation times during the school year, at least one person must be present in a school office. School offices will be open and staffed in accordance with the District calendar. Staffing will be open to anyone in the unit in that school building on a volunteer basis. If no volunteer can be found, it is the responsibility of the building principal to assign coverage from those employees working in that office. Such assignment shall, to the extent practicable, be apportioned equitably. year thereafter, a full-time ten (10) month staff member (other than a teaching assistant) shall be credited with nine (9) vacation days to be used over the course of the year. Effective July 1,2015, upon the completion of two (2) years of service and each year thereafter, a full-time ten (10) month staff member (other than a teaching assistant) shall be credited with eleven (11) vacation days to be used over the course of the year. This vacation leave must be mutually agreed upon between the employee and their immediate supervisor. It is not accumulative.
Vacation for Full. Time 12-Month Classified Staff Vacations will be scheduled with the Superintendent or designee. Vacations must be taken by August 15. Request for vacations must be made in writing to the Superintendent or designee. Such vacation is to be taken at the convenience of the employer. Vacation leave shall accrue as follows*: From end of 1st year of employment to end of 11th year equals ten (10) days; From beginning of 12th year equals fifteen (15) days. *Providing that the employee has been in active pay status 15 work days in the month for the accrual. Beginning with the 5th year of continuous employment with Genoa-Kingston CUSD #424, a maximum of five (5) days of vacation may be carried into the next school year and staff members may accumulate up to a maximum of twenty (20) days of vacation leave. Accrued vacation leave shall be credited as earned vacation for each full month of service in accordance with the above schedule, except that vacation accrued during the first twelve (12) months of continuous service shall not be credited as earned vacation until and unless the employee completes the first twelve (12) months of continuous service. An employee shall be compensated for accrued vacation leave upon termination; employees who resign or are discharged during their probationary period shall not be entitled to compensation.

Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.

  • Effective Date of Benefit Termination Medical, dental and life coverage termination will take effect on the first of the month following the loss of eligible employee or dependent status. Disability benefit coverage terminations will take effect on the day following loss of eligible employee status.

  • Compensation for Work on Holidays 1. An employee who is required to work on Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx.'s Birthday, Xxxxxxx's Birthday or Washington's Birthday and who meets the eligibility requirements contained herein shall receive his or her regular pay for each hour worked. Work performed on a holiday which is overtime as defined in Article I, Section 1.A., shall be compensated as provided in Article I, Section 2.C.1.

  • Salary Determination 12.5.1 A unit member shall receive a salary not less than the minimum salary nor more than the maximum salary (Articles 12.3 and 12.4) for the rank to which appointed, except as provided in Articles 4.15, 5.6, 10.6.1 or Article 10.6.1.1. The effective dates for salaries shall be the appropriate dates specified in Article 12.2.2.
