Vacation Changes. The Employer reserves the right to make changes in vacation periods when considered advisable for efficient operation. If a vacation week that was granted and approved prior to March 1st becomes available after March 1st, that vacation time shall be offered in order of seniority. Vacations for each year must be taken during the year or be forfeited, with the exception of unusual and compelling circumstances acceptable to the employer. Requests will not be unreasonably denied. Vacation Time in 4-hour increments 8.16 and 8.18 Change any reference to one day at a time vacation to minimum of 4 hour increments or the balance.

Vacation Changes. Should an employee become seriously ill or disabled while on vacation, his/her vacation leave shall be changed to sick leave, effective the date of illness or disability, upon notice to the employee's supervisor. Such notice shall be accompanied by adequate proof of such illness or disability and shall be given to the supervisor as soon as possible after the illness or disability occurs.
Vacation Changes. Up to two (2) weeks prior to the posting of the monthly working schedule, members may turn in a vacation change voucher requesting a change in their vacation time which cannot be denied provided the time block has not been fully reserved. Any changes in vacation scheduling as they relate to detective personnel will be implemented by the Investigative Services Division commander.

Application for vacation shall be dated by the supervisor or designee.
Vacation Changes. Should an employee becomes sick or injured prior to the commencement of their scheduled vacation and whose illness or injury disables them through the entire period of their scheduled vacation, shall at their option, receive vacation pay for their scheduled vacation or receive sick pay for this period of time and have their vacation rescheduled. An employee cannot receive both sick pay and vacation pay for the same period. Such notice shall be accompanied by adequate proof of such illness or disability and shall be given to the Employer as soon as possible after the illness or disability occurs.

  • Split Vacations Where an employee wishes to split her vacation, her second choice of vacation time shall be made only after all other employees concerned have made their initial selection.

  • ARTICLE VACATIONS For the purpose of calculating eligibility, the vacation year shall be the period from July 1st of any year to June 30th of the following year. The periods at which employees shall take vacation shall be based on the selection by the employee according to seniority in each department, but shall be finally determined by the Administrator having due concern for the proper operation of the Nursing Home. Vacation time will be allotted between the months of May and September inclusive, if possible, unless some other time is mutually arranged between the individual employee and the Employer. Employees with three (3) years of service on or before June 30th of the current year shall receive three (3) weeks vacation. Vacation pay for such employees will be six percent (6%) of gross earnings for the vacation year. Employees with eight (8) years of service on or before June 30th of the current year shall receive four (4) weeks vacation. Vacation pay for such employees will be eight percent (8%) of gross earnings for the vacation year. Employees with fifteen (15) years of service on or before June 30th of the current year shall receive five (5) weeks vacation. Vacation pay for such employees shall be ten percent (10%) of gross earnings for the vacation year. Employees with twenty-five (25) years of service on or before June 30th of the current year shall receive six (6) weeks vacation. Vacation pay for such employees will be twelve percent (12%) of gross earnings for the vacation year. For employees who are regularly scheduled to work seventy-five (75) hours vacation pay is to be paid as a percentage of total earnings or regular pay whichever is greater. Employees who have lost their seniority and have terminated their employment as set out in Article herein, between vacation periods, shall on termination of employment be paid a vacation with pay allowance based on the amount of vacation pay to which such employee shall be entitled from the last cut off date prior to the date of termination. Such allowance shall be paid no later than the next regular payroll date. The Employer may pay vacation pay as part of the regular pay. such circumstances, the Employer undertakes that the rate of income tax on the vacation pay will not change unless the vacation pay changes the employee’s annual tax bracket.

  • SECTION 4 - VACATION 4.1 Employee shall be entitled to accrue and take vacation leave in accordance with the policy applicable to employees of Manitoba.
