Common use of Vacation Bonus Clause in Contracts

Vacation Bonus. For every four consecutive days of the current year’s vacation that an employee takes during January, February or March each year, an additional one (1) day of vacation will be provided and must be taken during the same time period. NOTE: This provision does not apply to carryover vacation which must be used prior to using the current year’s vacation entitlement. In the calendar year in which a regular employee completes: 26 years' service - 1 day's base pay 27 years' service - 2 days' base pay 28 years' service - 3 days' base pay 29 years' service - 4 days' base pay 30 years' service - 5 days' base pay 31 years' service - 6 days' base pay 32 years' service - 7 days' base pay 33 years' service - 8 days' base pay 34 years' service - 9 days' base pay 35 years' service - 10 days' base pay and beyond The vacation bonus shall be calculated on the employee's base rate of pay as of July 1st of the year in which the bonus is payable.
