Vacation Accrual. Regular employees shall accrue hours of vacation with pay for each hour of compensation to a maximum of eighty (80) hours per biweekly work period according to the following schedule, commencing with the employee's hire date of his latest period of County employment.

Vacation Accrual. A. An employee shall be allowed to accumulate a maximum of three hundred twenty-five (325) hours of vacation leave; however, in the event of separation or layoff, any unused vacation up to two hundred fifty (250) hours will be paid to the employee.
Vacation Accrual. A. During the first three (3) years of employment, a full-time employee in a regular or limited-term position shall earn .0385 hours of vacation for each hour of pay during his or her regularly scheduled workweek (approximately eighty [80] hours per year). Part-time employees will earn vacation on a pro- rated basis. Such credit shall be applied to the employee's vacation accrual account only upon completion of each pay period.

An appointing authority may authorize cash payment of forty (40) hours, upon determining that granting of vacation leave is not appropriate. The designated supervisor must document the denial of the vacation leave request. Cash payout for accrued vacation leave must not be granted more than once in each fiscal year.

Vacation Accrual. Regular, full-time and regular part-time employees accrue .05 hours of vacation time for each hour worked (maximum 40 hours per week) during the first two years of uninterrupted employment with the University. Thereafter, an additional eight (8) hours per year (four (4) hours for part-time) is added with each calendar year of uninterrupted employment with the University, except that the number of hours earned in any single year shall not exceed one hundred sixty (160) hours (part-time, eighty (80) hours). Unused vacation time may be carried over into the next calendar year providing the number of hours does not exceed the hours earned the preceding year. Probationary employees shall earn vacation allowance at the same rate but shall not be eligible to use such allowance until after six (6) months of employment. Employees shall receive compensation for accrued vacation but unused vacation upon leaving the employ of the University provided that the employee gives at least two (2) weeks notice of their intent to leave. Vacation time shall not be used to continue employment beyond the last day worked for the University.

Vacation does not accrue to the member in the following circumstances: • During an authorized leave of absence without pay. • During the period of non-responsibility for members working a 43-week schedule. • While on sick leave bank leave. Vacation accrues to a maximum of sixty-four (64) days. A bargaining unit member who is reinstated or reemployed after less than three (3) years shall have his/her prior service included in determining his/her length of service for purpose of vacation accrual. A regular part-time bargaining unit member shall be granted vacation leave in the same proportion that his/her part-time service bears to full-time service. Vacation leave accrued during any payroll period shall be credited on the last day of the payroll period based on the bargaining unit member’s full-time equivalent status on that date and shall be available for use the following day.
Vacation Accrual. The following applies to vacation accrual: Eligible faculty members with a twelve- month, 1.0 FTE appointment accrue 15 hours of vacation per month; eligible faculty members on a twelve-month, .50 FTE or more appointment accrue vacation in proportion to their FTE. No faculty member may accrue in excess of 260 hours. The maximum number of hours that can be paid upon termination is 180 hours. Section L, Staff Fee Privileges. Pursuant to the joint letter signed by Presidents of SOU, WOU, SOU, OIT, PSU, OSU and UO, and consistent with the Board of Higher Education administrative rules 580-022-0030 and 580-022- 0031 in effect July 1, 2014, staff fee privileges will continue to be extended to one family member as defined in the IRS code or to a domestic partner as defined per PEBB affidavit.
