Vacancy Announcements. (a) Announcement of employment opportunities must receive appropriate distribution to enable and encourage qualified candidates to apply. Announcements should be open for at least 2 weeks. In unusual circumstances, the Chief Administrative Officer or designee may shorten the 2-week announcement period. Announcements must contain specific information about examinations, minimum qualifications, duties and other relevant job factors. Length of County service (seniority) shall be considered when qualified candidates are otherwise deemed reasonably equal.
Vacancy Announcements. Notice of all job openings within the County, except for positions posted internally within a Department, shall be posted on County bulletin boards for a period of six (6) working days, with a copy of all job openings provided to the Union. Such notice shall be in the regular County format, and shall include a description of the duties of the position, a statement of all bona fide job-related qualifications required for the position and the pay rate of the position.
