Common use of VACANCIES DURING Clause in Contracts

VACANCIES DURING. Vacancies which occur during the period of reduction in force shall be offered to those employees working through using the procedure in Article VI, Vacancies and Job Posting. Vacancies which remain following this procedure shall be offered to or declined in writing by the employee standing highest on the appropriate reinstatement list before the next person on the list is considered. The employee shall be notified by certified mail addressed to the employees last known address.
