UTILITY MAN is an employee whose duties include driving service vehicles, swamping, container maintenance which may include minor welding, small vehicle route collection, pull out truck operation, single container delivery and pick up using a fork truck or other vehicle designed to deliver or pick up one container at a time, and other general labouring duties as directed. The employee will be paid the appropriate rate of pay for the work performed.
UTILITY MAN. Under no circumstances shall these people be hired in lieu of apprentices and if the Employer has the quota necessary for an apprentice, he must give the apprentice preference. No employee shall suffer a reduction in wages upon signing this Agreement. At least three (3) journeymen sheet metal workers shall be employed before a utility man may be hired. Before an additional utility man shall be employed, fifteen (15) journeymen sheet metal workers shall be employed. Before a third utility man shall be employed, thirty (30) journeymen sheet metal workers shall be employed. Before a fourth utility man shall be employed, sixty (60) journeymen sheet metal workers shall be employed. Duties of a utility man shall include:
UTILITY MAN. (Pay Grade 3Probationary Period Pay Grade 2) Accountability: Reporting to, and receiving direction from, the Public Works Xxxxxxx or such person as may be appointed to act on behalf of the Public Works Xxxxxxx.

  • Janitorial Services or Building Maintenance Services If this Agreement is for janitorial or building maintenance services, this section is applicable.
