Common use of Use of Technology Clause in Contracts

Use of Technology. Modern technology (i.e. e-mail, audio and video recordings via cell 1 phones, etc.) has become common in the work place and may be used in the course of an 2 investigation. The use of these technologies will not replace the traditional use of 3 documentation when discussing and/or investigating matters involving the actions of employees. 4 The initial review of security videos or other technology, for the purpose of monitoring employee 5 performance, shall be conducted by an administrator or specifically trained confidential 6 employee. Technology records will be provided to SPALC, upon request, as soon as 7 technologically feasible and pursuant to state law. During an open investigation, if a video is 8 evidence in the case, SPALC will be provided a copy, if requested.
