Use of Personal Automobile. A. Effective upon the execution date of this Agreement, unit members who use their personal automobile for assigned non-campus University business shall receive reimbursement by the University as follows:

Use of Personal Automobile. 7.1. Employees required by the University to use their personal automobile for travel between job locations during their work schedule shall receive mileage reimbursement at a rate in accordance with University policy.

Unit members who use their personal automobiles for assigned non-campus University business shall receive reimbursement by the University at the same rate as paid by the State of Maine. If during the term of this Agreement, the official University or State of Maine mileage rates are increased, or if a higher rate is implemented for any group of University employees, the new rate shall be implemented for unit members.

The Board will purchase excess liability insurance to cover employees voluntarily transporting students in their car to and from Board authorized activities approved by an administrator. Insurance will be a minimum of $300,000 per person bodily injury and property damage.
Use of Personal Automobile. The District agrees to provide excess personal liability and property damage insurance to protect employees in the event the employees are required to use their personal vehicles on District business. Employees using their personal vehicles must possess a valid California Driver License and must carry liability insurance as provided by the California Financial Responsibility Act. Proof of Driver License and liability insurance may be required by the District.
