Upholstery. This will be of first class standard workmanship with webbing no-sag springs, coiled springs, padding and filling as specified on drawing. Covering fabrics will be shown tufted and corded as shown on the drawing and as approved by the employer.
Upholstery.  Upon ‘activation’ of a new style, Flexsteel requires all suppliers to provide spare parts at a minimum of 2% of the quantity ordered per sku at ‘no charge’.  Flexsteel reserves the right to request additional spare parts at ‘no charge’ in the event there is a quality issue resulting in greater than 2% demand.  Spare parts must be available for shipment within 14 days of receipt of purchase order. Orders not available to ship within this period may be required to air freight spare parts at the supplier’s expense.  Supplier must notate all spare parts shipped on both the commercial invoice & packing list.  Spare parts must have a value established for customs purpose only. The value should be in “( )” next to the item for our customs broker to declare.  Spare parts value should not be included in the total invoice value on the commercial invoice.  Spare parts should be packaged in accordance with Flexsteel’s Barcode Label Guidelines. Upholstery. Where shown on Your Certificate, Stains on fabric or leather furniture, mattresses which are sudden and accidental resulting from; • Food and beverages; • Ink, paint and dye; • Human and pet bodily fluids; • Cosmetics, soap and shampoo; • Wax and wax polish; • Glue and superglue; • Dye transfer from clothing and newspaper print; • Acids, bleaches, caustic and corrosive solutions and substances. Where shown on Your Certificate, Accidental Damage on fabric, leather furniture, mattresses caused by: Rips, tears, xxxxx, scuffs, scratches and punctures. Accidental Damage includes damage caused by pets. Damage caused by pets (that is not extensive) is limited to three (3) claims during the period of insurance. Cabinet & Bed Frames Where shown on Your Certificate Stains and Accidental Damage to cabinet furniture, bed frames & mattresses which is sudden and accidental resulting from: • Water, liquid or heat marks from items in normal household use; • Breakage, dents, chips, scratches which have penetrated through the surface finish; or • Breakage, scratches and chips of glass or mirrors occurring during normal household use. xxx.xxxxxxxxx.xx.xx Structural Defects to cabinet furniture, bed frames & mattresses following the expiry of the manufacturers warranty caused by; • Defects to frames caused by breakage or becoming warped; • Peeling of the finish on solid wood, veneered or laminate furniture; • Defects of mechanical, electric recliners and components; • Bending and breakage to metal components; • Broken, castors, and buttons; • Separation of seams and stitching; • Lifting or peeling of the hide on leather bed frames and dining chairs; What is Not Covered We will not pay the claim costs arising from:

Brass or aluminum ‘cushion vents’ should be installed at the back or underside of seat cushions (specially those covered in leather venial plastic or very tightly woven fabric) to allow air escape and to prevent torn seams.
Upholstery. Each side of the innerspring unit is to be covered with a 2 oz. per square foot bonded polyester pad measuring 36” x 81”. Xxxxx pre-compressed of fire-retardant cotton felt consisting of one-unit size batt per side shall be placed over the polyester pad. A 1” x 40” x 84” co-polymer foam topper shall be placed over the cotton felt on each side. The density of the co-polymer foam is to be a minimum of 1.5 lbs. per cubic foot. Indentation load deflection (25% ILD @ 4 inch) to be 34-37 lbs. Compression modules to be 2.4 minimum; Hysteresis loss to be 25% maximum; Foam must pass California Technical Bulletin #117 flammability standards; An inner roll edge shall me made by enfolding the foam topper around the edge of the polyester and placing the cover, flanged with 2 oz. per square yard over the topper and securing the cover by hog ringing the flange to the outside coils of the innerspring unit. A fire barrier consisting of a knitted fiberglass/modacrylic/polyester fabric shall be placed over all the upholstery in such a way that it completely encapsulates the entire mattress forming a full fire barrier. The ends of the barrier shall be completely closed with FR thread. Or a laminated, needle punch FR barrier with Kevlar thread may be used. Fire barriers containing chemical additives or flame- retardant additives are unacceptable. Flame retardant chemicals: Any chemical or chemical compound for which a functional use is to resist or inhibit the spread of fire. Flame retardant chemicals include, but are not limited to, halogenated, phosphorous-based, nitrogen-based, and nanoscale flame retardants, flame retardant chemicals listed as “designated chemicalspursuant to Section 105440 of the Health and Safety Code, and any chemical or chemical compound for which “flame retardant” appears on the substance Safety Data Sheet (SDS) pursuant to Section 1910.1200(g) of Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Definition as used in Section 19094 of the California Business and Professions Code (SB 1019). Materials Covered: Components of the mattress that are covered by this definition including the ticking/outer cover, core/filling materials/batting, fire barrier fabric, and tape/thread.

CUSHION VENTS : Brass or Aluminium "cushion vents" should be installed at the back or under side of seat cushions (especially those covered in leather, vinyl plastic or very tightly woven fabric) to allow air to escape easily and to prevent torn seams. MATERIALS : Finished timber shall be of the type specified, furnishing fabrics, colour, pattern, substance to be as specified, no variation of this will be permitted unless with prior approval of the Designer & owner. FINISH : This will be as specified on the drawing and colour scheme chart where timber is finished in natural colour, care must be taken to "match" each searate piece of colour, before assembly. Where timber is stained, the stain or colour on each member must match. Only first class workmanship will be accepted. All legs to furniture will be fitted with nylon glides or castors as specified on the drawing. Full size drawings or prototype samples are to be submitted to the Designer for prior approval if requested. FABRIC AND WALL COVERINGS : The fabrics or wall coverings shall be supplied by the owner in conformity with the details shown on colour scheme charts. The wall paper or fabric shall be applied with an approved method or adhesive after necessary preparation of surfaces and in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and to the approval of the Architect/Consultant. The lengths of wall covering are to be hung with an overlap of at least 1" and cut flush as recommended by the manufacturer. A sample of the colour and style shall be produced for the Architect/Consultant's / owner approval.
