Unused Sick Leave Payment. Employees are entitled under law to choose to receive payment for accrued unused sick leave pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 124.39 (A), (B) if eligible, or may choose to apply for payment pursuant to the Lake County Policy established herein. Employees are eligible to receive payment under this policy for accrued unused sick leave upon separation from employment due to death, retirement or resignation provided the employee has the recommendation of their appointing authority that they were in good standing at the time of their separation from employment. The years of employment for determining the percentage of accrued unused sick leave to be paid under this policy are defined as years of fulltime employment with a Lake County Appointing Authority that is under the legislative control of the Board of Lake County Commissioners and/or a Lake County Appointing Authority that receives at least half of its funding from the Lake County general revenue fund. Employees hired prior to January 1, 1997 may include prior service with another Ohio political subdivision in the years of employment for determining whether accrued unused sick leave may be paid. Effective upon execution of this Agreement, employees with less than 10 years of employment who separate from employment due to death, retirement or resignation shall not be entitled to any payout for accrued unused sick leave accumulated during the course of their employment. Unused Sick Leave Payment. Certified staff shall be granted a one hundred fifty ($150) bonus if none of their available sick leave is used by the end of the school year. The one (1) day contributed to the sick leave assistance program shall not be counted as a sick day used for the purpose of payment under this section.
Unused Sick Leave Payment. The severance payment for unused sick leave will be a deposit into a special pay deferral account, by the school district two months following the date of retirement. 100% will be deposited into a special pay deferral account; to be renegotiated each successive agreement.
Unused Sick Leave Payment. The schedule for the payment of accrued unused sick leave is based upon nine hundred sixty (960) hours and is outlined below. The terms of this section are based upon the resignation, death, or retirement in good standing of employment of full-time County employees only. Unused Sick Leave Payment. Section 1. On or after January 1, 2018, employees who have completed not less than ten (10) years of full-time employment with the Employer whose employment is terminated due to death, retirement or resignation shall be entitled to receive a payment equal to fifty (50%) percent of their accumulated unused sick leave not to exceed a maximum payment of four hundred eighty (480) hours. Implementation shall be consistent with provisions found in the September 13, 2012 resolution, and revised policy dated March 6, 2017, designated as Addendum A attached hereto.

  • Unused Sick Leave The accrual of unused sick leave hours is unlimited. The City and the Union commit to the evaluation and establishment of a mutually beneficial non-use of sick leave incentive and pay-out policy. Until such time that a policy is established, accumulated sick leave shall be compensated as follows: Upon retirement from the City service, an employee shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated sick leave, with the rate of payment based upon his regular pay at the time he retires. Upon the death of an employee, his beneficiary shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated unused sick leave, with the payment based upon his regular pay at the date of his death.

  • Pay for Unused Sick Leave Unused sick leave not to exceed 70 days will be paid at the rate of $50 per day when the teacher retires or leaves U.S.D. 506 employment, provided the teacher has a minimum of 10 years of service in U.S.D. 506. Article VI: Activity Ticket Each teacher of U.S.D. 506 shall be issued an activity ticket, which shall be honored at all regular school functions held within the district. Said ticket shall not be honored at basketball tournaments and special events. Said ticket shall be honored for employee, spouse, and children who have not yet graduated from high school. The Board of Education will have an expectation that those teachers in attendance at school functions will assume a reasonable amount of general supervision as needed.

  • Unpaid Sick Leave The City Manager shall, upon the advice and recommendation of the City physician, grant unpaid sick leave for up to one (1) year upon application of any employee whose paid sick leave is exhausted. Any extension of such leave shall be subject to the Civil Service Board rules.

  • Sick Leave Bonus For every six (6) months of perfect sick leave attendance after July 1, 1987, the employee will receive eight (8) hours of bonus time. This bonus time will be prorated for part-time employees. Such bonus time can be used for any leave purpose covered by this Agreement. Such bonus time shall be counted as vacation leave credits for purposes of determining eligibility for carry- over and cash payments.
