Unscheduled Overtime. I. a payment of forty dollars ($40.00) as a meal allowance.
Unscheduled Overtime. The definition of "Unscheduled Overtime" shall be as given in Clause 16.01(c).
Unscheduled Overtime. At the time when mandatory overtime is required on a shift, a review of all shift absences will be conducted, without consideration of which absence was created first, to determine the proper assignment of overtime, starting with the Lieutenant position and working down the chain of command. No represented staff member will cover an absence created by a management service member, except out of class lieutenants. The person assigned as the “Bucket person” shall have the option of accepting the overtime prior to unscheduled overtime being announced to all staff on duty, if the overtime immediately follows their current shift. Refusing the overtime does not satisfy the bucket obligation. However, accepting the overtime and working the overtime or finding a staff member to share part of the shift does satisfy their bucket obligation. The intent is to allow the Bucket person the first (1st) opportunity at overtime because he/she is interested in working the overtime. Otherwise, volunteers will be sought by contact with all staff on shift by announcement over the radio followed by contacting volunteers on the volunteer list. Transport and Work Crew Officers will need to notify the OIC at the beginning of their shift or before they depart WFFC for their assigned duties if they are interested in any possible overtime. The Officer in Charge (OIC) asks on-duty staff for volunteers to cover the whole shift. If two or more security staff are interested in the voluntary overtime it will be decided by a lottery draw which will be conducted at least 10 minutes after the announcement of overtime and in the presence of at least two (2) staff and one (1) security management staff. If no one volunteers for the overtime, and time permitting, the OIC calls at home those staff members who previously indicated their wish to be contacted for voluntary overtime by placing and maintaining their name on the voluntary overtime list maintained by the OIC. If still not covered, the OIC informs the staff member on the bucket list of the overtime requirement. The OIC will allow the staff member a brief opportunity to call peers to cover all or part of the shift if requested by the staff member. In this instance, if the bucketed person is successful in finding a replacement for all or part of the shift, their bucket obligation shall be satisfied.
Unscheduled Overtime. Volunteers shall first be sought from staff who are scheduled to be on duty and actually working immediately prior to the overtime hours to be worked. Volunteers shall then be sought from staff who are scheduled to be on duty but are on authorized paid leave immediately prior to the overtime hours to be worked. For vacation reliefs, the last regularly scheduled shift worked will determine what an employee’s regular shift is for the purpose of this article. Staff utilizing accrued time shall be called by rotation list. When offering overtime, the caller will make every effort to specify the number of hours to be worked. Respiratory Therapists (RT): When the regularly scheduled RT will not be on duty, the other RT’s will be offered overtime on a rotating basis. If there is no RT available to work the overtime the duties may be assumed by another bargaining unit. LPN’s: When the regularly scheduled LPN will not be on duty, the other LPN’s will be offered overtime on a rotating basis. If there is no LPN available to work the overtime the duties may be assumed by another bargaining unit.
Unscheduled Overtime. If a job cannot be finished during the regular working hours and must be finished on overtime basis, the crew working on the job will remain on an overtime basis until completion. This overtime is voluntary unless the job is declared an emergency by the Cable Splicing Supervisor or the Communications Line Supervisor II. If an emergency is declared the employees must stay until the job is completed or no longer constitutes an emergency. This provision applies to 7257 Communications Line Supervisor I, 7338 Electrical Line Worker, 7432 Electrical Line Helper, and 7308 Cable Splicer.
Unscheduled Overtime. E. 4. c. 1. Sick Relief Call Outs (continuous operations employees only): 2 x hourly wage for all Night Shifts (1800-0600) and for Day Shifts on Sundays. Employees working Day Shifts (0600- 1800) will be paid 1 ½ x hourly wage.
Unscheduled Overtime. Employees requested to perform emergency overtime work or who are called in during regularly scheduled days off or vacations, or who are called back to work outside the regular working day, other than for regularly scheduled overtime, shall receive a minimum four (4) hours pay at overtime rates. Appropriate travel time to and from work shall be considered as hours worked and paid at overtime rates.
Unscheduled Overtime. Employees shall receive additional Compensatory Time for work performed during non-work hours according to the following;
Unscheduled Overtime. No nurse shall be required to work overtime if a qualified volunteer nurse is available. In instances where staff is needed as a result of unpredictable day-to-day circumstances, the unscheduled work shall be offered first on a voluntary basis to the unit’s regular nursing staff (on duty and off) if utilizing them does not result in overtime. If no volunteers are available, the unscheduled work shall be offered to Relief/Extra-help or Registry Nurses if utilizing them does not result in overtime. If no volunteers are available from the above classifications, to the extent possible and based on operational needs, overtime shall be offered on an evenly distributed, voluntary basis first to regular nursing staff (on duty and off) and, after, to Relief/Extra-help or Registry/Travelers. Any employee offered overtime or extra hours is required to possess the skills and abilities required to perform the work. If mandatory overtime is necessary, the County will use Travelers/Registry or Relief/Extra-help nurses prior to regular nurses. If regular nurses are used they shall be called in order of reverse seniority. Mandatory overtime will not be assigned to any employee who does not possess the skills and abilities required to perform the work.
Unscheduled Overtime. Members will be compensated for additional hours worked beyond those which are regularly scheduled as delineated in Article 15 - Hours of Employment. Overtime Call-in Procedure will be done in accordance with OFC #15. Changes to OFC #15 will be made by the parties in collective bargaining or by the Labor Management Committee.
