Unpaid Leave Days. Except as scheduled in the school calendar or otherwise provided for above, teachers are expected not to request or take vacation days during the school year, and violations of this prohibition may result in disciplinary action. A leave request exceeding the limits of or involving activities not covered by the above Personal Leave Days may be submitted to the Superintendent or designee for a decision which will be final and not grievable. All days granted by the Superintendent or designee under provisions of this section, if any, shall be unpaid. The employee’s daily rate will be deducted from the pay period affected for each day approved. Approval for unpaid days will be made in conjunction with the employee’s supervisor and the Human Resources administrator.
Unpaid Leave Days. The following parameter shall be in effect during only the 2012-13 and 2013-14 years:
Unpaid Leave Days. L.C.3.1 LTOs may request an unpaid leave of one (1) day for each sixty (60) day assignment worked or committed, to a maximum of three (3) days per year to attend to unavoidable or extraordinary personal matters. It is understood that teachers will provide appropriate work for their class. Such leaves will not normally be granted the first week following the start of school, abutting school breaks, days needed to support student assessment periods and parent reporting, or the last week of school. Request for leaves are subject to approval by the Board and may not be taken in conjunction with any other unpaid leave.
Unpaid Leave Days. Teacher requests for non-compensated personal leave days may be approved and granted by the Board upon recommendation of the Superintendent for any other purpose. All requests for non-compensated personal leave shall be submitted in writing to the Superintendent at least fourteen (14) days prior to the date said leave is desired.
Unpaid Leave Days. Teachers may be granted unpaid leave days upon submission of an unpaid leave form to the Superintendent and/or Designee and approval of the Board of Education.
Unpaid Leave Days. Not more than three times (days) during a school year, in the event a driver has an emergency situation and is unable to run his/her route, such driver shall, upon approval of the Superintendent or designee, and after making arrangements with a substitute driver, be off for such shift or shifts and such shall not result in an unexcused absence. Not more than two (2) drivers would be released at one time, subject to availability of a qualified substitute driver. Unpaid leave days are not to be used in conjunction with a holiday or vacation except in event of emergency, and such days are not to be saved for vacation or recreation. At the sole discretion of the Superintendent, on a case by case basis for extenuating circumstances, the Superintendent may approve a waiver of the restrictions on use of unpaid leave days. Approval of any one request shall not require approval of any subsequent request.
Unpaid Leave Days. 22.01 The Board may in its sole discretion, except in circumstances which qualify under the Family Medical Leave Act or Americans With Disabilities Act, and upon receipt of a timely and proper application for same, grant unpaid leaves of absence of up to one (1) year to Employees who demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Board a personal need for an extended absence not otherwise authorized under this Agreement.
Unpaid Leave Days. Upon application, employees shall be granted up to two (2) days of leave without pay each school year. Requests beyond these two (2) days will be dealt with by Director of Operations on an individual basis.
Unpaid Leave Days. L.C.7.4.1 Teachers may request an unpaid leave up to three (3) days per year to attend to unavoidable or extraordinary personal matters. It is understood that teachers will provide appropriate work for their class. Such leaves will not normally be granted the first week following the start of school, abutting school breaks, days needed to support student assessment periods and parent reporting, or the last week of school. Requests for leaves must be made through the e-form process, are subject to approval by the Board and may not be taken in conjunction with any other unpaid leaves.
Unpaid Leave Days. L.C.6.4.1 Teachers may request an unpaid leave as follows: 1. Up to three (3) days per year to attend to unavoidable or extraordinary personal matters; or 2. Up to three (3) non-consecutive days per year to attend to personal matter, subject to the pre-arrangement of an Occasional Teacher to provide coverage. It is understood that teachers will provide appropriate work for their class. Such leaves will not normally be granted the first week following the start of school, abutting school breaks, days needed to support student assessment periods and parent reporting, or the last week of school. Requests for leaves must be made through the e-form process, are subject to approval by the Board and may not be taken in conjunction with any other unpaid leaves.
