Common use of Union Shop Clause in Contracts

Union Shop. 2.01 The Co-operative agrees to retain in its employ within the bargaining unit, as outlined in Article 1 of this Agreement, only members of the Union in good standing. The Co-operative shall be free to hire or rehire new employees who are not members of the Union, provided said non-members, whether part-time or full-time, shall be eligible for membership in the Union and shall make application on the official Membership Application form within ten (10) calendar days from date of hire or rehire and become members within thirty (30) calendar days.

Union Shop. 2.01 The Co-operative agrees to retain in its employ within the bargaining unit, unit as outlined in Article 1 of this Agreement, Agreement only members of the Union in good standing. The Co-operative shall be free to hire or rehire new employees who are not members of the Union, provided said non-members, whether part-time or full-timetime employees, shall be eligible for membership in the Union and shall make application on the official Membership Application form within ten (10) calendar days from date of hire or rehire and become members within thirty (30) calendar days.
