Common use of Union Shop Clause in Contracts

Union Shop. 2.01 The Employer agrees to retain in its employ, within the bargaining unit as outlined in Section 1 of this Agreement, only members of the Union in good standing. The Employer shall be free to hire new employees who are not members of the Union, provided said non-members, whether part- or full-time employees, shall be eligible for membership in the Union and shall make application within ten (10) days after employment and become members within thirty (30) days.

The Employer shall be free to hire new employees who are not members of the Union, provided said non-members, whether part- or full-time employees, shall be eligible for membership in the Union and shall make application within ten (10) days after employment and become members within thirty (30) days.

Union Shop. 2.01 The Employer agrees to retain in its employ, within the bargaining unit Bargaining Unit as outlined in Section 1 of this Agreement, only members of the Union in good standing.
