Common use of UNION SECURITY Clause in Contracts

UNION SECURITY. Every employee who is now or hereafter becomes a member of the Union shall maintain membership in the Union as a condition of employment and every new employee whose employment commences hereafter shall within thirty (30) days after the commencement of employment, apply for and maintain membership in the Union as a condition of employment.

Every new employee whose employment commences hereafter shall make application on the official membership application form within ten (10) calendar days of the date of their employment and shall become a member of the Union within thirty (30) calendar days after the commencement of employment, apply for and maintain membership in the Union as a condition of their employment.
