UNION SECURITY. 7.01 a. Any member of the bargaining unit may authorize, in writing to the Union, the Employer to deduct from their pay the amount of dues, fees, and/or assessments charged by the union.

UNION SECURITY. 7.01 4.01 The Employer Company agrees to institute a check-off, on forms supplied by the Union, and to deduct an amount of Union Dues to be determined by the Union. The amount shall deduct monthly be deducted on a bi- weekly basis from the employee’s pay due to each employee who is covered by this Agreement a sum equal and then remitted to the Union on a monthly Union basis for all dues of each such employeededucted in the previous month. (a) Upon employment a new employee shall be given a letter of acceptance and a copy of the letter of acceptance containing information pertaining to classification, the office to which the employee is assigned, social insurance number, home address, the need to provide a vehicle for employment and date of employment shall be given to the Union. Past experience and salary rate will be sent to the Union upon receiving written consent of the new employee employed. If the employee’s employment should terminate for any reason the Union will be given the date the employee’s employment terminated.
(b) Upon acceptance of a new position and/or classification of current employees within the Bargaining Unit, the employee shall be given a letter outlining the details of such position and/or classification. A copy of this letter will also be provided to the Bargaining Unit President or designate.

Where an employee has no earnings during the first payroll period, the deduction shall be made in the next payroll period where the employee has earnings, within that month. The Union shall notify the employer in writing of remit the amount of such dues from time to time. The Employer will send to the Union its cheque for office monthly, no later than the dues so deducted in fifteenth (15th) day of the month following the month in for which such deductions are made.
6.02 The Union shall inform the Employer of the amount to be deducted or if new fees or assessments are levied by providing thirty (30) calendar days written notice.
6.03 The Employer shall provide with each remittance the electronic list of all employees for whom union dues are were deducted. When arrears or adjustments are submitted retroactively, specifying the amount deducted for each.
6.04 The Employer will provide the Union representative semi-annually an electronic list of employees within the bargaining unit, showing their work location, address, telephone number, classification, seniority, rates of pay and status.
6.05 Where a new employee is hired, the dues Employer shall provide the Union representative with the employee’s address, telephone number, classification, seniority, trainer level, and status within a month and an explanation will accompany any such duesof their date of hire.
7.02 6.06 The Employer shall provide the Union representative with a list showing of employees, together with their work locations, on the first Monday of each month by way of an Excel spreadsheet.
6.07 The Employer shall indicate the amount of union dues on the T4 slip of each employee.
6.08 It is the employee’s responsibility to update the Employer of any changes in their contact information, including phone number, address, banking information and last names emergency contact number.
6.09 The Employer agrees to orient all new employees to their new job and Social Insurance Numbers of all employees from whom deductions have been madeto the fact that a union agreement is in effect. The report will identify On commencing employment, the name Employer shall provide the new employee with a copy of the facility Collective Agreement and shall direct them to the month from which the dues are remitted. The Employer will also identify job classification (where the bargaining unit includes classifications, employees paid less than RNs) and status (i.e. full-time, part-time) of the employees, all terminations, newly hired employees (including start date, where the existing system allows for the information without cost), and employees on Leaves of Absence. On a quarterly basis, the Home will also provide the members’ current addresses and phone numbers, shown ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ contact list on the Employer’s personnel records. The Employer will endeavour to provide information in electronic format if the Employer has the technology. The Union may forward any questions with respect to individual employees in writing (or e-mail) to the Administrator (or designate). The employer will respond to such requests with any information it has which is readily available, within two weeksportal.
7.03 The Employer shall provide each employee with a T4 Supplementary slip showing the dues deducted in the previous year for income tax purposes where such information is or becomes readily available through the employer's payroll system.
7.04 The Union shall indemnify and save the Employer harmless with respect to dues so deducted and remitted.
