UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECKOFF. 7.01 The Employer agrees to acquaint new employees with the fact that a Union Agreement is in effect and with the conditions of employment as set out in the Articles dealing with Union Security and Dues Checkoff.
UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECKOFF. 2.1 All employees covered by this Agreement who voluntarily are or who voluntarily become members of the Union in good standing following the date of signing this Agreement or at the beginning of their employment, shall, as a condition of their employment remain members of the Union in good standing during the term of this Agreement. This provision shall not apply to any employee, who within thirty (30) days preceding the next ending of this Agreement, shall withdraw from the Union by sending a signed withdrawal letter to the office of the Local Union with a copy to the City.
UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECKOFF. No person shall be required as a condition of employment to become or remain a member of the Union. During the term of this Agreement, the Company agrees to deduct monthly an amount equal to the uniform dues and/or assessments as levied by the Union (in accordance with the 'Rand Formula') for each pay period as a condition of employment of every employee in the Bargaining Unit, beginning with the date of hiring in the Bargaining Unit. The present rate of deductions is equal to one and two-thirds percent (1.666%) of regular salary and the same percentage shall be deducted on all additional earnings. The Company will be notified by registered mail of any changes in the present rate of deductions. The Union shall not require the Company to vary the deductions more than twice a year. The Company agrees to remit the monies so deducted to the Union monthly by cheque. The Company shall remit such dues by the fifteenth of the month following the month for which such dues are deducted together with the following information: Employee name Classification title and salary Amount of dues deducted on base salary Amount of dues deducted on additional earnings. The name of any employee who has left or joined the Company since the last payment, including the name of any employee going on or returning from child care leave. A copy of this statement shall be provided to the Local Treasurer of the Bargaining Unit. Each year the Company will indicate on the and income tax receipts issued to employees, the total amount of Union dues deducted at source and forwarded to for the calendar year in question. Notification to the Union The Company shall, within three (3) working days, mail to the office of the Union designated with the responsibility of administering this Collective Agreement and to the Local Union, one (1) copy of each of the following:

It is agreed that all Regular bargaining unit employees, as defined in Article clause and will be required to pay to the Union, dues (or the equivalent amount) as a condition of continued employment. The University agrees to obtain a signed deduction authorization for the Union dues (or equivalent amount) at the time of completing employ- ment sign-up procedures for all new regular employees. It is also agreed that no regular bargaining unit employee will be eligible for membership or will become a member of Local of the Canadian Union of Public Employees until completion of the probationary period specified in Article (Seniority). It is further agreed that only those regular employees who have completed the pro- bationary period will have recourse to the grievance procedure outlined in this Collective Agreement. The University agrees to deduct from the wages of each Temporary employee (as defined in Article clause the same Union dues (or equivalent amount) as that paid by each bargaining unit employee. Such deductions for temporary employees will commence on the first pay following comple- tion of two (2) full weeks of employment providing that pay is one from which Union dues (or equivalent amount) for regular full time employees is also deducted. Otherwise the initial deductions will occur on the pay following. Such deductions shall continue thereafter throughout such a period of temporary employment. The total amount deducted in accordance with the foregoing will be remitted by the University, by cheque, addressed to the Treasurer and made payable to the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local by the fifteenth (15) day of the month following the month for which the deductions have been made, accompanied by a list of the employees from whose wages deductions have been made...
UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECKOFF. 3.01 The Employer agrees that all employees as provided for in this Agreement shall maintain membership in the Union as a condition of employment. All new employees, upon completion of the probation period, shall become and remain members of the Union during the lifetime of this Agreement.
