UNION MEMBERSHIP AND VOLUNTARY ASSIGNMENT OF WAGES. ‌ Not later than (for persons hired after this agreement becomes effective) the thirty-first day after their hire date or (for those employed at the effective date of this agreement) the effective date of this Agreement, or the execution date of this Agreement, whichever is later, every worker subject to the terms of this Agreement shall, as a condition of employment, become and remain a member of the Union, paying the periodic dues uniformly required, or, in the alternative, shall, as a condition of employment, pay a fee in the amount equal to the periodic dues uniformly required as a condition of acquiring or retaining membership, or, if the worker objects to the payment of that agency fee, such worker shall, as a condition of employment, pay that portion of the agency fee that is related to the Union’s representation costs. The Employer shall include a Union Membership card in each employee’s employment paperwork. After collecting said card, the employer shall retain a copy for itself, forward a copy to the corporate office and send the original to the Union. Upon voluntary signed authorization by a worker and a statement from the Union of the dollar amounts due for each worker, the Operator agrees to deduct the Union dues and initiation fees, and remit it to the office of the Union not later than the thirtieth (30th) day of the month following the month in which the dues were deducted. The Union shall indemnify and hold harmless the Operator with respect to any asserted claim or obligation or cost of defending against any such claim or obligation of any person arising out of the Operator’s deducting and remitting of Union dues. Once every month, the Operator shall inform the Union of new hires and terminated employees in the classifications listed herein in Unit Classifications. The Operator agrees to provide the Union with the termination dates and reason for termination of workers who are no longer active. This information shall be submitted to the Union no later than the thirtieth (30th) day of each month following termination. The Operator shall facilitate reconciliation of these employment records with the Union, including clarifying whether workers are inactive because of paid or unpaid leave or any other reason. The Operator will honor written assignment of wages to the Union for the payment of voluntary contributions to the Union’s Committee on Political Education (COPE) Fund. UNION MEMBERSHIP AND VOLUNTARY ASSIGNMENT OF WAGES. ‌ All employees covered by the terms of this Agreement who are members of the Union upon ratification of this Agreement shall as a condition of employment maintain their membership in good standing in the Union. “In good standing,” for the purposes of this Agreement is defined as the tendering of periodic Union dues. All bargaining unit employees hired after the date of ratification of this Agreement shall, as a condition of employment, not later than the 31st day following the commencement of his/her employment, become and remain a member of the Union in good standing. Any employee who fails to satisfy this obligation shall be discharged by the Employer pursuant to the provisions of Section 5.2. The Employer shall include a Union Membership Card in each employee’s employment paperwork. The card will be reserved for the Union Representative/Advocate, as available, to review the membership card with new employees during their orientation. After collecting said card from the new employee or Advocate, the Employer shall retain a copy for itself, forward a copy to the Vancouver Office Payroll Department and send the original to the Union.

  • Non-Assignment of Agreement The Grantee may not assign, sublicense or otherwise transfer its rights, duties or obligations under this Agreement without the prior written consent of the Division, which shall not unreasonably be withheld. The agreement transferee must demonstrate compliance with the requirements of the project. If the Division approves a transfer of the Grantee’s obligations, the Grantee shall remain liable for all work performed and all expenses incurred in connection with this Agreement. In the event the Legislature transfers the rights, duties and obligations of the Division to another governmental entity, pursuant to Section 20.06, Florida Statutes or otherwise, the rights, duties and obligations under this Agreement shall be transferred to the succeeding governmental agency as if it was the original party to this Agreement.

  • Employees on Long Term Supply Assignments Employees completing long term supply assignments may only access sick leave and short term disability leave in the fiscal year in which the allocation was provided. Any remaining allocation may be used in subsequent long term supply assignments, provided these occur within the same fiscal year. Employees employed in a Long Term Supply Assignment which is less than the ordinary period of employment for the position shall have their sick leave and short term disability allocations pro-rated accordingly. Where the length of the long term supply assignment is not known in advance, a projected length must be determined at the start of the assignment in order for the appropriate allocation of sick leave/short term disability leave to occur. If a change is made to the length of the assignment, an adjustment will be made to the allocation and applied retroactively.

  • Disclosure upon assignment and novation You hereby consent, in connection with any, or any proposed, novation, assignment, transfer or sale of any of our rights and/or obligations with respect to or in connection with your card account(s) and any facilities and services available in connection with the card to any novatee, assignee, transferee, purchaser or any other person participating or otherwise involved in such, or such proposed, transaction, to the disclosure, to any such person, by us, of any and all information relating to you, your card account(s) with us, this agreement and any security, guarantee and assurance provided to secure your obligations thereunder and any other information whatsoever which may be required in relation thereto.

  • ASSIGNMENT LIMITATION This Contract shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the parties and their successors and assigns; provided, however, that neither party shall assign its obligations hereunder without the prior written consent of the other.

  • Teaching Assignment For teaching faculty, the teaching assignment will be one or a combination of programs, courses, or student originated studies offerings (all of which are collectively referred to as “academic offerings” below). For full-time faculty the normal teaching assignment will be a program. For part-time faculty the normal assignment is either a program and/or course(s), depending on the terms of their contract. In addition, faculty may support individual learning contracts.

  • Assignment of Agreement The following conditions must be satisfied in order to effectuate any assignment of this Agreement:

  • CESSION, ASSIGNMENT AND TRANSFER 30.1 The Licensee is not entitled to cede, assign or transfer any of its rights, title or interest in the Agreement without XXXXX’s consent, which consent must not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Transfer of Pregnant Employees Pregnant employees may request to be transferred from their current duties if, in the professional opinion of the employee's physician the pregnancy may be at risk. If such a transfer is not feasible, the pregnant employee, if she so requests, will be granted an unpaid leave of absence before commencement of the current contractual maternity leave provisions.

  • Non-Assignment This Agreement shall not be assigned by either party without the written consent of the other party.

  • Employee Initiated Transfer A. Employees desiring a transfer within the same job title shall complete an online Employee Transfer Application in accordance with the Job Posting.
