Union Information Packet. The Employer agrees to furnish to new employees of the Unit represented by the Union a packet of informational materials supplied to the Employer by the Local Union President or his/her designee. The Employer retains the right to review the material supplied and refuse to distribute any partisan political literature or material ridiculing individuals by name or obvious direct reference, or materials defamatory to the Employer or the Union.
Union Information Packet. The Employer agrees to furnish to new employees of the Bargaining Unit, including employees transferring in and returning from a formal leave of absence, a packet of informational materials supplied to the Employer by the Union. The Employer retains the right to review the material supplied and to distribute materials informing the employees of their rights, obligations, and benefits under this Agreement, Dues and Service Fee Authorization Cards, Union officials' names and jurisdictions, and materials concerning MCO and its affiliations.
Union Information Packet. The Employer agrees to furnish to new employees of the Unit represented by the Union a packet of informational materials supplied to the Employer by the Union. Such information shall consist of material informing the new employee of his/her rights and obligations under this Agreement, and the benefits afforded Union members.

Such packet shall be enclosed in a pre- 36 sealed envelope by the Union to facilitate delivery to the new employee. On the first day of employment in the Bargaining Unit, or on the day tax withholding forms are signed, the Employer shall distribute to a new employee a packet of informational materials supplied to the Employer by the Union. The Employer retains the right to review the material supplied. There shall be a system requiring an employee to sign a receipt for such informational packet. Such receipt shall be provided to the Union. Procedural details of such receipt system shall be determined promptly by mutual agreement of the Union and the Appointing Authority.

Upon initial appointment to any position as a probationary or permanent employee, the employee shall be informed by the employer that the Union is the recognized employee organization for the employee in said classification. The State shall present the employee with a copy of the current Contract as well as a packet of Union information, both of which have been supplied by the Union.
