Union Employment. Union members appointed to a paid position in the Union shall be granted an unpaid leave of absence up to one year and upon at least thirty (30) days notice in writing of the leave request. Union leave of absence in excess of one year may be granted by mutual agreement between the Union head office and the Employer. Such leave of absence shall not be unreasonably denied. Union members elected to a paid position in the Union shall be granted an unpaid leave of absence for the specific term of their appointment and upon at least thirty (30) days notice in writing of the leave request. Union leave of absence in excess of the specific term may be granted by mutual agreement between the Union head office and the Employer. Such leave of absence shall not be unreasonably denied. Mutually acceptable arrangements for leaves of absence for full-time elected union members will be made between the Union head office and the employee’s Employer.
Union Employment. An employee elected or selected to a full time job in the local Union, AFL-CIO, or the IAM Federal Credit Union, or the International Union, which takes him from his employment with the Company, shall upon written request to the Company receive leave of absence, without pay, for a period equal to his tenure of employment with the Union. Upon completion of his leave of absence during the existence of this Agreement, he shall be re-employed according to his seniority in work generally similar to that which he did last prior to leaving at the wage rates existing at the time of his return, provided such work is available for him according to his seniority, and he has the ability to perform such work. Seniority shall accumulate during such leave of absence.
Union Employment. In the event that a full-time classified employee shall become a full-time employee of the Union, the employee shall notify the Oakton College President and shall be granted a leave of absence not to exceed two years without pay for the purpose of accepting this position. Any Union officer who accepts such a leave of absence shall be entitled to all benefits or rights accorded to a classified employee on unpaid leave of absence. The Board agrees to make available up to 16 hours per week to any classified employee who is elected a part- time officer (vice-president, secretary, treasurer, legislative chair, grievance chair) of Local 1600 to serve a two- year term of office. Both President and part-time Executive Positions described in the above paragraphs may be eligible for additional periods of up to two years, with management approval.
Union Employment. The Township agrees to grant one (1) year leave of absence without pay for any employee in connection with Union activity, the request for which may be extended by Agreement with the Township.

Union Employment. An employee who is elected or selected for a full-time position with the Union, or any body with which the Union is affiliated, or who is elected to public office shall be granted leave of absence without pay by the Employer, without loss of accrued benefits, for a period of one year. Such leave shall be applied for to the Employer each subsequent year.

Union Employment. The Employer shall grant leave of absence without pay to a maximum of one (1) employee at any one (1) time to serve as a full-time employee of the District Lodge or Grand Lodge of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Such leave of absence must be renewed yearly. Further, any employee intending to return from such leave of absence must provide to the Employer a minimum of four (4) weeks' notice prior to his or her return to active employment.
Union Employment. Employees accepting full-time employment with the Union or the International Union shall be granted a leave of absence for the term of their elected office(s) and/or employment. Employees so affected shall continue to accrue seniority in their last classification prior to the change and shall remain eligible for pass privileges in accordance with the Company's policy so long as this Union remains the exclusive bargaining agent for Employees covered by this Agreement.
