UNION DUES 6. 01 The Company agrees to deduct from the wages of each employee the amount of Union dues fixed by the Union and communicated to the Company in writing. Dues shall be remitted to USWA, Local 9705 no later than the 20th day of the month following the month for which said deductions are made.

UNION DUES 6 t Whenever a new employee is hired (excluding students and tempo- rary employees he Company as part of the induction training of that new employee, introduce such employee to a Union representative who be permitted to briefly discuss with such new employee the of the Collective Agreement and the details of membership in the Atlantic Communications Technical Workers’ Union. On each and every pay period the Company agrees to deduct from the wages of each employee in the bargaining unit, dues for that period or an amount equivalent to the regular dues duly by the Union for Union dues, and forward the so deducted together with a statement any changes in the list of such employees to the Financial Secretary of the. Union by the day following the pay period. This check-off of dues shall continue during the life time of this Agreement or any renewal thereof and shall be continued throughout any period during which the parties are engaged in negotiations with a view to making a new agreement and it shall apply to all employees in the bargain- ing unit. The amount of Union dues deducted from wages or the amount equivalent to the Union dues deducted in the taxation year will be shown on the employee’s slip. PAY PERIODS 7 Pay periods shall be per year, the pay period to close at every second Saturday. Pay cheques or notifications of deposit, at the employee’s option, will be distributed as soon after the closing dates as payrolls can be computed and pay cheques or notifications of deposit issued, normally no later than the Thursday following the close of the pay period. When a pay day falls on a paid holiday, the employees will be paid on the last regular work day before the holiday.

  • Union Dues As a condition of employment, the Hospital will deduct from each employee covered by this Agreement an amount equal to the regular monthly union dues designated by the Union. Such dues shall be deducted from the first pay of each month for full-time employees, and may be deducted from every pay for part-time employees. In the case of newly hired employees, such deductions shall commence in the month following their date of hire. The amount of the regular monthly dues shall be those authorized by the Union and the Union shall notify the Hospital of any changes therein and such notification shall be the Hospital's conclusive authority to make the deductions specified. In consideration of the deducting of union dues by the Hospital, the Union agrees to indemnify and save harmless the Hospital against any claims or liabilities arising or resulting from the operation of this Article. Dues deducted by the 15th of the month shall be remitted monthly to the Union, no later than the end of the month in which the dues were deducted.

  • Union Dues Deductions It shall be a condition of employment for all Nurses in the Bargaining Unit, that dues be deducted from their bi-weekly salary in the amount determined by the Union. The deductions for newly employed Nurses shall be in the first pay period of employment. The dues shall be submitted monthly to the Union together with a list of the Nurses from whom the deductions were made.

  • CHECK-OFF UNION DUES 5.1 The Corporation shall, subject to the conditions and exceptions set forth hereunder, deduct on the payroll for the first pay period of each month from wages due and payable to each employee coming within the scope of this Collective Agreement, an amount equal to the prevailing monthly dues of the Union and shall remit the same by cheque (accompanied by a statement of deductions from individuals) to the Union Local Secretary- Treasurer, not later than twenty (20) days following the pay period in which the deductions are made.

  • Union Delegates The Employer recognizes the right of the Union to designate Union Delegates who shall be authorized to take up employee or group grievances through the grievance procedure. A Union Delegate who is a bargaining unit employee and is processing a grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure shall be permitted a reasonable time to assist in the resolution of legitimate employee grievances on the Employer's property without loss of pay. Such time off for processing grievances shall be granted by supervision following a request, but in consideration of any job responsibilities.

  • Union Delegate 32.5 Where an Employee is elected by Employees of the Employer as a Union Delegate, and the Union notifies the Employer of this election, the Employee will be classified as the higher of CW4, or the Employees usual classification. In addition, a Union Delegate is entitled to an all- purpose hourly allowance for the life of this agreement as per the table at Appendix 2 – Delegate Allowance.
