Union Business Leave Bank. A. There is hereby created a Union Business Leave Bank that shall be administered by the State with a monthly report of the balance and withdrawals provided to the Union. The Bank shall be established by a transfer, upon written authorization from the member, of seven and one-half (7.5) hours of personal leave from each new bargaining unit member. As a condition of employment such bargaining unit members shall donate seven and one-half (7.5) hours of personal leave when the bargaining unit member's balance is at least seven and one-half (7.5) hours or more and such leave shall be transferred to the Bank. In addition, any bargaining unit member at his/her option may transfer personal leave in one (1) hour increments to the Bank. Transfers may be made at any time during the duration of the Agreement with no maximum limit on the number of increments except that a bargaining unit member may not transfer more increments of personal leave than are posted to the member's personal leave balance at the time of authorization. The bargaining unit member's leave balance will be reduced by the amount of leave transferred to the Bank.

Union Business Leave Bank. In lieu of the personal leave day currently being provided to non-represented employees, the parties agree to establish a leave bank for use by Local 6070 Bargaining Unit Members for Union training, collective bargaining, payment of witnesses under the provisions of Article 6.5.
Union Business Leave Bank. A. There is created a Union Business Leave Bank which shall be administered by the MOA with a report of the balance and withdrawals provided to the Union Business Manager upon request. The Bank shall be established by a transfer of two (2) hours of cashable annual leave from each regular employee by the MOA on the second full pay period in January of each year; seasonal employees shall transfer one (1) hour of cashable leave for each season worked not to exceed two (2) hours per calendar year, and this will occur on the second pay period following hire. The Bank will be capped at 1200 hours. Time off on Union leave for negotiation purposes shall count as hours worked for the purpose of determining overtime eligibility within the workweek. Withdrawal requests from the Bank will be for purposes of contract negotiations, executive meetings, training sponsored by the Union, and other purposes as may be determined by the Business Manager. Requests for withdrawals from the Bank shall be made only by the Business Manager of the Union or designee to the Employee Relations Director. Cashable annual leave transferred to the Bank is final and not recoverable for re-credit to an employee’s leave account.
Union Business Leave Bank. (A) The Union Business Leave Bank (UBLB) will be maintained as a dollar amount by the Employer and administered by the Union. The Union will be advised in writing upon request as to the balance of this account. Withdrawal requests from the UBLB will be for purposes of contract negotiations and formulation, executive meetings, training sponsored by the Union, attendance at arbitration hearings as witnesses for the Union and other purposes as may be determined by the Branch Agent. Withdrawals from the account shall be made only by the Branch Agent of the Association or the Branch Agent's designee by initiating a request in writing to the General Manager of the Alaska Marine Highway System. Withdrawals for employees using time off the job for Union business shall be at the hourly wage rate of the employee utilizing leave for Union business. Cash withdrawal requests by the Branch Agent must be approved by the General Manager of the Alaska Marine Highway System, subject to the limitations stated above. All personal leave transferred to the UBLB is final and not recoverable for recredit to the individual donor's leave account. Use of the account for leave payment will not be duplicated if an employee is in a pay status with the Employer.
Union Business Leave Bank. Employees subject to the provisions of this Memorandum of Understanding may donate vacation, compensatory time or in lieu holiday time into Union Business Leave Bank for the sole and exclusive use of the Union Stewards for attendance at meetings, seminars, conferences or conventions on behalf of the Union. The Union Stewards are expected to perform his/her duties as a representative of the Union on his/her on own time. However, it is recognized that occasionally it will be necessary to attend to Union business during normal working hours. Where such activities are necessarily or reasonably to be performed during normal working hours, the Union Business Leave Bank may be utilized.

  • Union Business (a) The Hospital shall grant leave of absence without pay to employees to attend Union conventions, seminars, education classes and other Union business in connection with the administration of the collective agreement provided that such leave will not interfere with the efficient operation of the Hospital.   • Business Leave Each teacher shall be allowed five (5) days per year non-accumulative, deducted from sick leave allowance, for employee absence due to emergency, business, professional, household, or personal matters that cannot be attended to outside of working hours. The Union shall repay the Company for the Company's costs incurred in Employee Benefit Plans and the employee(s) shall continue to pay their contributions directly to the Company.   • Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Participation Pursuant to Education Code section 71028 and Public Contract Code section 10115, the District may have a participation goal for disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBEs) of at least three (3) percent per year of funds expended each year by the District on projects that use funds from the California Community College Chancellor’s Office. This Project may use funds allocated under the Act. Therefore, to the extent feasible and pertaining to future hirings, the Consultant, before it executes the Agreement, shall provide to the District certification of compliance with the procedures for implementation of DVBE contracting goals, appropriate documentation identifying the amount(s) intended to be paid to DVBEs in conjunction with the contract, and documentation demonstrating the Consultant’s good faith efforts to meet these goals.
