Uniforms and Work Clothes. 28.01 The Employer shall furnish and pay for uniform equipment for employees as required. The style and quantity of specific items shall be determined by the Employer. Such uniform shall remain the property of the Employer and must be returned upon an employee leaving the Employer. All uniform items, including shirts will be replaced on a one to one basis. The Employer will direct the appropriate uniform dress code. Repairs and necessary alterations of all items will be at the employer’s expense. All washable parts of the uniform will be washed by the employee.

Annual Allowance for PSEs On an annual basis, Postal Support Employees who are assigned as PSE Sales/Service & DistributionAssociates, D/A 81-4, who have met the criteria listed below, will be eligible to purchase three (3) Type 2 shirts worn by employees assigned to retail operations, with an allowance of up to $42 per shirt:

Annual Allowance - Regular Uniform Program Article 26 Section 2.A. is amended to provide as follows: Effective November 21, 2003, the annual allowance for all eligible employees shall be increased from $312.00 per annum to $320.00 per annum; and from $134.00 per annum to $137.00 per annum. The increase shall become effective on the employee’s anniversary date. Effective November 21, 2004, the annual allowance for all eligible employees shall be increased from $320.00 per annum to $328.00 per annum; and from $137.00 per annum to $140.00 per annum. The increase shall become effective on the employee’s anniversary date.

Should the Company require an employee to wear safety boots or safety glasses and upon receipt of supporting document, the Company will refund fifty (50%) percent of the cost up to forty-five ($45.00) dollars, once every two (2) years for the purchase of either safety equipment stated herein. Any employee having been refunded for said purchase of safety equipment will be required to wear said safety equipment subject to corrective action.
