Uniforms and Special Clothing. 32.1 The Employer will provide and clean, at no cost to the employees, any designated uniforms or special clothing which is required by the Employer to be worn on the job. Such clothing will be mended or replaced by the Employer as necessary due to normal wear and tear.
Uniforms and Special Clothing. The Employer reserves the right to require employees to wear uniform(s) or special clothing. If an employee is required to wear a uniform(s) or special clothing, such uniform(s) or special clothing shall be furnished to the employee by the Employer. In lieu of providing such uniform(s) or special clothing, the Employer will pay an allowance for such uniform(s) or special clothing which will reimburse the employee for the total cost of the purchased item(s). The quantity, quality and replacement frequency for uniform(s) or special clothing may be discussed at Labor Management Meetings at the request of either party.

The MOA will furnish, launder and maintain uniforms and special clothing only where the MOA or applicable federal and/or state safety regulations require such uniforms and special clothing. Any such uniforms or special clothing provided by the MOA shall be returned to the MOA upon termination of the employee's employment. Uniforms will be provided in sufficient quantity to meet the needs for an employee's regular workdays within a two- week period. The employee will be liable for loss or damage to uniform(s) not directly attributed to work. For AWWU only, the following will be provided in addition to the foregoing:

The Corporation will continue its present practice regarding supply of clothing and footwear for Animal Control Officers and uniformed members of the Traffic Department. The employer agrees to clean up to three (3) pairs of coveralls per mechanic per week in the Public Works Department. For all other employees of the bargaining unit, the Corporation will provide up to $250.00 per employee per year for the purchase of clothing of a type designated from time to time by the Corporation, such sums to be paid only for actual purchases. Any portion of the amount unused by any employee in any calendar year will not be held over into the following year. Each employee shall be responsible for obtaining his/her own clothing and keeping his/her clothing laundered, cleaned and in good and orderly condition. All employees must dress in an acceptable fashion. The foregoing does not include rainwear, safety equipment or protective coveralls which the Corporation will continue to supply as in the past.
