UNIFORMS AND SAFETY SHOES. A unit member who is provided a uniform and safety shoes is required to wear the uniform and safety shoes in the prescribed manner while performing his/her duties for the Board of Education. The unit member will be provided with five (5) sets of uniforms and two (2) pairs of safety shoes. If the uniform and/or safety shoes become unserviceable, the unit member will return the uniform and/or safety shoes for replacement. The following unit members will be provided uniforms.

UNIFORMS AND SAFETY SHOES. 29.1 In those classifications where the employer requires that the employee wear safety shoes, the City shall, effective the first full pay period following ratification of the labor agreement, issue an allowance in the amount of One Hundred and Seventy-Five Dollars ($175.00) for the purchase of an initial pair of safety shoes.

Such uniforms must be returned to the employer upon separation from the District. Unit members will reimburse the employer for any lost uniforms. All mechanics, mechanic assistants, and transportation workers who repair vehicles are required to wear safety shoes while at work. Upon authorization of the Transportation Director, the District will reimburse these employees up to $75 annually to purchase the appropriate work shoes.

UNIFORMS AND SAFETY SHOES. A. Uniforms will be provided by the Authority to all employees whose position requires them. Authority issued uniforms (i.e. pants, shirts, jackets, gloves, hats, etc.) must be worn at all times. The Authority will also provide bi-weekly cleaning service for Authority provided uniforms at no expense to the employee. Employees are responsible to reimburse the Authority the cost for missing uniforms at the time of separation of service. The Authority will deduct any remaining costs from the employee’s final check.
