Uniformed Services Leave. A Uniformed Services leave of absence shall be granted to any teacher who shall be inducted for military duty in any branch of the uniformed services of the United States. Upon return from such leave, a teacher shall be placed at the same position on the salary schedule as he/she would have been had he/she taught in the District during such period.

Any administrator who becomes a member of the bargaining unit shall not be the cause of any NTPSM employed by the Board as of September 1, 1981, being laid off. (2) The Board will determine the number of NTPSM positions to be filled. (3) Any administrator to be placed in the unit will be added to the seniority list and the number of NTPSM positions will be increased by a number corresponding to the number of administrators with sufficient seniority to be placed in a NTPSM position. (4) Any administrator placed in the unit having insufficient seniority to claim a NTPSM position shall be placed on the recall list with full seniority. The recall of such administrator shall be consistent with paragraph two (2) above. (5) Once the administrator has been in the unit for one (1) year or more, he/she shall be counted as part of the regular teaching force, with all rights and responsibilities associated therewith, and no further special liability will be attached to the Board due to his/her prior administrative standing.

Uniformed Services Leave. Any permanent full-time employee who is a member of the National Guard or Naval Militia or the Military or Naval Forces of the United States who is required to undergo field training therein, shall be entitled to leave of absence with full pay for the period of such field training not to exceed two (2) weeks per fiscal year. The said leave of absence shall be in addition to the annual vacation leave. A statement from military authorities evidencing such attendance shall be required by the Board, as well as a statement from military authorities evidencing rank, pay and allowance. Any pay paid to the employee by the Military while on leave under this article shall be returned to the District by the employee. Additional leave will be granted in accordance with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act, as it may be amended.

Uniformed Services Leave. A teacher who is called for National Guard or Reserve Duty shall try to have his/her service deferred to a time that will not conflict with his/her obligation to the students. If the teacher must serve, time shall be granted for no longer than two (2) weeks. Xxxxxx received for this period shall be equal to the teacher's full salary. The amount received for such National Guard or Reserve Duty shall be turned over to the School District. Additional leave will be granted in accordance with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act.
