Common use of Uniform Replacement Clause in Contracts

Uniform Replacement. A. Each member required to wear a uniform shall be annually credited with a uniform replacement allowance in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the purchase of prescribed uniform items only. Such credit shall be placed with a qualified vendor and may only be used by the employee for the purchase of prescribed classification specialist shirts, sweatshirts or sweaters. Classification Specialists hired during the first six (6) months of the year will not be provided with a replacement credit for the remainder of the calendar year. Classification Specialists hired during the second half of the calendar year shall not receive a uniform replacement credit for the remainder of the year as well as the following calendar year. If replacement is needed during these early periods of employment for whatever reason, the cost shall be paid by the employee.
