Uniform Clothing Issue. (1) The Employer will provide all maintenance personnel a maximum of six hundred ($600.00) once each fiscal year for the purchase of protective clothing including coveralls, gloves and headgear. The employee must provide an original receipt to be eligible for reimbursement. For the purpose of this clause, protective clothing means any clothing, device or other article that is intended to be worn or used by a worker to prevent injury, to facilitate rescue or to offer protection against weather conditions.

Uniform Clothing Issue. Where the Employer determines that an employee’s work is of a nature where health and cleanliness must be maintained or that special identification is necessary, the Senate will provide clothing and accoutrement of good quality and workmanship free of charge to the employee. The employees shall wear issued items of clothing during working hours unless otherwise excused by the Employer, and shall be responsible for their upkeep except for the cleaning, laundering and repairs caused by normal wear and tear, which remain the responsibility of the Employer. The scale of issue is contained in Appendix This scale of issue may be amended from time to time by mutual agreement. It is recognised by the parties that special circumstances may necessitate special clothing; in such situations, modifications to the scale of issue may be made to accommodate these special needs. Any disagreement concerning the application or interpretation of this Article or of Appendix will be submitted for resolution to the Executive (the two co-chairs) of the Parliamentary Precinct Services directorate Labour-Management Committee.
