UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. (a) The Board will advise all departments of the District that smocks will be made available, as required, to all employees when undertaking duties that may require protection of clothing.
UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. SECTION 40.1 An initial issue of appropriate uniforms shall be provided by the Employer to each employee of the Fire Division upon their initial employment in accordance with the lists in the uniform and equipment issue policies. The Union shall be notified in advance of any changes to these policies. In each year of this agreement the City will replace worn or broken items of clothing or equipment, if need is demonstrated. The cleaning, repairing, alterations, and laundering of such uniforms, (which shall not include socks and t- shirts) shall be provided and paid for by the Employer.

Uniform allowances shall be for purposes of purchasing and maintaining required uniforms. Probationary employees shall receive a pro-rated uniform allowance. In order to secure tax deductibility for the allowance provided for under this Article, the employee shall be required to comply with the Internal Revenue Service regulations which mandate the submission of a receipt as a condition precedent to taking a lawful tax deduction. Such receipt shall be submitted to the Town on or before December 31 of each year or this stipend shall be considered to be ordinary income to the recipient.

UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. 2901 The Employer shall maintain all uniforms and protective or special work clothing provided by the Employer which are required to be worn on duty. 2902 All such items remain the property of the Employer and must not be removed from the facility. All such items must be accounted for upon request, and returned on termination or transfer to a classification where they are no longer required, or the cost of same will be deducted from the employee‟s regular or final paycheque. 2903 Employees working in an unsanitary or dangerous job will be supplied with all the necessary tools, safety equipment and protective clothing. 2904 In recognition of the fact that, as a direct result of performing their duties, employees may have their clothing or other personal property damaged, the Employer agrees to make appropriate compensation, following documentation of and receipt of the incident, conditional upon hospital procedures and policies having been followed. The validity of such compensation payment will be determined by the Employer. 2905 Where the Employer requires that safety shoes be worn, the employee shall be provided with a safety shoe allowance to a maximum of seventy-five dollars ($75) (one hundred dollars ($100) effective January 1, 2009) per year upon presentation of a receipt. New employees will receive the allowance upon completion of their probationary period. An employee must wear safety shoes at all times while at work.
UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. The City shall provide annual uniform and footwear maintenance and replacement allowance to all uniformed personnel as shown on the following chart. Employees shall be paid quarterly for the purposes of maintaining and replacing uniforms. Payments of $425.00 will be made on the second pay date of each quarter. Any uniform item damaged in the performance of work duties will be replaced by the City. Any uniform not damaged will be inspected no less than every three years to determine whether it should be replaced. New hires shall be paid the first quarter following their hire date. Uniforms and equipment must be maintained in good condition and shall only be worn or used on official City business or as authorized by the City.
UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. All child nutrition employees whose job assignment is a cook, cashier, assistant manager and manager shall be required to wear a uniform, except on spirit days when they are permitted to wear a spirit shirt and jeans/slacks. The Child Nutrition Department will purchase two sets for each new employee and all other employees shall receive a minimum of one new uniform per year. The employee may have the option of purchasing more if they so choose. The district will provide back support belts to those support personnel who expect to do lifting. Failure to wear the back support belt when lifting may be considered cause for suspension, demotion, or termination.
