Unemployment Compensation Insurance. All eligible employees are covered by unemployment compensation and are subject to the provisions thereof. MEDICARE COVERAGE All employees are included in the Medicare system, and thus will become eligible for Medicare hospitalization coverage at age 65, or as otherwise provided by federal law. LEGAL COUNSEL Any case of assault upon an employee shall be promptly reported to the Superintendent or his or her designee. The Board shall cooperate with any criminal proceedings as a result of the assault and provide legal counsel to the employee if questions arise when dealing with law enforcement and judicial authorities. This does not obligate the Board of Education to provide legal services to the employee for seeking damages through civil court proceedings.

Unemployment Compensation Insurance. School year employees shall not be eligible to collect unemployment benefits during the summer unless they have been laid off as per Article VI (Layoff and Recall) or the current unemployment compensation regulations and/or laws are rescinded or amended by action of the legislature. If an employee is laid off and collects unemployment over the summer but is recalled prior to the start of the school year, the employee is responsible for paying back the District collected unemployment benefits.

  • ’ Compensation Insurance PURCHASER shall perform the operations in accordance with the requirements of the Workers' Compensation Law of the State of Oregon during the term of this contract. In addition, the PURCHASER, its subcontractors, if any, and all employers providing work, labor, or materials under this contract are subject employers under the Oregon Workers' Compensation Law and shall comply with ORS 656.017 and 656.029, which requires them to provide workers' compensation coverage that satisfies Oregon law for all their subject workers. Out-of-state employers must provide Oregon workers' compensation coverage for their workers who work at a single location within Oregon for more than 30 days in a calendar year. Contractors who perform the operations without the assistance or labor of any employee need not obtain such coverage.

  • Unemployment Compensation The Contractor shall be solely responsible for the unemployment compensation payments on behalf of their employees and personnel. The Contractor shall not be entitled to unemployment compensation in connection with the Services performed under this Agreement.
