Unearned Sick Leave. Teachers terminating employment with the District shall be required to reimburse the District for sick leave days taken but not earned.

Unearned Sick Leave. Sick leave days to be earned during the year will be credited to the teacher at the beginning of the year. In case of voluntary separation or removal for cause of a teacher to whom sick leave has been advanced in excess of that earned, the teacher will be required to refund the amount paid for the period of such excess. The refund will be in an amount equal to the teacher’s average daily salary times the number of sick leave days which are in excess of the number to which the teacher would have been entitled based on the percentage of the school year which the teacher worked.
Unearned Sick Leave. If a member does not render service for an entire year, but has used all credited sick leave, the amount of compensation received for sick leave taken but unearned shall be repaid to the District and the District shall have the right to make necessary adjustments to the last warrant. If a unit member is taking a leave of absence, the unit member will receive sick leave earned up to the commencement of the leave of absence. The final warrant issued before a leave of absence will be adjusted for any usage of sick leave earnings.
Unearned Sick Leave. Unearned sick leave may be requested in accordance with applicable statutes and regulations. SECTION 12.

  • Accumulated Sick Leave ‌ The Employer shall inform all employees at least once each year of the number of sick days accumulated and shall make the information available to an employee on request.

  • Paid Sick Leave Employees shall earn and be granted paid sick leave according to the following provisions:

  • Accrued 100% sick leave The use of sick leave under this subsection is at the employee's discretion.

  • Extended Sick Leave When sick leave extends for more than 25 consecutive working days, the appointing authority shall initiate the following procedure:

  • Annual Paid Sick Leave Eighteen (18) days sick leave per year shall be earned by all full-time employees at the rate of one and one-half days for every month or part thereof that an employee is employed in such year provided that no sick leave shall be earned in any calendar month during which the employee is employed for less than ten (10) days.

  • Sick Leave Incentive The City will institute a sick leave incentive based on the usage of the bargaining unit; further, the City will pay each person who qualifies during January of each year. The incentive will be calculated and monitored by the Personnel Department and will be based on the pay periods during a calendar year. The incentive shall be awarded only when the bargaining unit's average sick leave usage is less than the City average and the following conditions are met: When the bargaining unit's sick leave usage is greater than forty (40) hours but less than the City average, the City will pay each member using between zero (0) and sixteen (16) hours of sick leave, eight (8) hours pay and any member using more than sixteen (16) but equal to or less than twenty-four (24) hours, four (4) hours pay. When the bargaining unit's average sick leave usage is equal to or less than forty (40) hours, the City will pay each member who used between zero (0) and sixteen (16) hours, sixteen (16) hours of pay at their current hourly rate. Those members who used more than sixteen (16) but equal to or less than twenty-four (24) hours, will receive eight (8) hours of pay.
