Undergraduate Admissions. Any undergraduate Holy Names University (HNU) student in good standing (2.0 GPA or higher) will be admitted to California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) as long as they meet the minimum entry requirements of the BA Interdisciplinary Studies and/or BS Psychology. • CIIS will waive the application fees for HNU students. • Students must have completed at least 54 transferable semester units to be considered for admissions. • The letter of recommendation requirement is waived for HNU students. • An admissions essay is required for all applicants. The essay must be five to seven pages type and double spaces. It must incorporate the following discussion points: o How this program is a good fit for you o Experiences that shaped your desire to return to college now o Your interest in majoring in interdisciplinary studies o Experiences that have prepared you to work in a collaborative learning community. o Your goals and expectations for yourself in the program • Students must participate in an interview to be admitted. Undergraduate Articulation (Course- by-course evaluation for transfer) • To facilitate the on-time graduation of upper-classmen to the greatest extent possible, CIIS will individually evaluate each transfer transcript to ensure that HNU students are not duplicating work: o CIIS’s first semester core requirements, will be waived for HNU transfer students with Senior standing, defined as 90 earned credits or more. We will also do a course-by-course evaluation for each student to ensure there is not a duplication of courses. o CIIS’s core requirements, will be individually evaluated to ensure there is no duplication of coursework for HNU transfer students with Junior standing, defined as 60 earned credits. o CIIS only accepts students with 54 unit minimum for transfer, so HNU transfer students with Sophomore standing, defined as 30 earned credits, will need to earn more units. o For any student regardless of credit standing, CIIS will allow students who have completed all of HNU’s General Education Curriculum to waive CIIS’s General Education Requirements. o Students who have completed some but not all of HNU’s General Education Curriculum will have courses evaluated on a course-by-course basis for equivalencies. o CIIS will accept “P” Pass and grades of “C” or better in core and major requirements. • In order to facilitate on-time graduation for HNU students enrolling at CIIS under this Teach-Out Agreement, CIIS will accept any appropriate credi...

HNU students can complete MC’s “Fast App.” The Fast App must be completed by March 10,2023. Students who do not complete the application by that date may be required to complete the regular “Common Application.” Undergraduate Articulation (Course- by-course evaluation for transfer) • MC will waive residency requirements (exceptions below) for any HNU student transferring to MC for the 2023-2024 academic year. This policy is designed to ensure the on-time graduation of upper-classmen. • Residency requirements that will not be waived are as followed: o ENG 450, MGT 400/401/CAPSTONE, INT 499, PSY 400, and PSY 401. o Students must meet the 24-credit upper-division requirements. • To ensure on-time graduation of upper-classman, MC will allow the following: o MC’s Core, including Language, Civic Engagement, International and Diverse Perspectives, Sustainability, and Writing in the Discipline requirements, and 52-hour rule except for the Senior Project requirements, will be waived for HNU transfer students with Senior standing, defined as 90 credits or more. o MC’s Core including Sustainability, International and Diverse Perfectives, and 52-hour rule, except for Civic Engagement, and Language requirements, will be waived for HNU transfer students with Juniors standing, defined as 60 credits or more. o MC’s Core Exploration requirements and First-Year Seminar will be waived for HNU transfer students with sophomore standing, defined as 30 credits or more. o MC will allow students who have completed HNU’s Core Curriculum to waive MC’s Core, including Language, Civic Engagement, International and Diverse Perspectives, Sustainability, and Wiring in the Disciplines requirements, except Senior Project requirement. o Students who have completed some, but not all of HNU’s Core Curriculum will have courses evaluated on a course-by-course basis for equivalencies: however, students transferring in with at least 45 credits will have their first-year semester substitution waived. o MC will accept P and D grades at HNU in order to fulfill core and major requirements • MC will accept all transfer credits from regionally accredited colleges or universities.
