Types of Leave. (a) The employee-funded leave shall afford an employee the opportunity to enter into an agreement with the Board to take a one (1) year self-funded leave in the last year of an individual's five (5) year agreement. In each of these years, the employee agrees to be paid a percentage of the salary normally paid to the employee per the Salary Schedule in effect for those periods.
Types of Leave. Employees are eligible for three (3) types of leaves: medical, personal and family. Such leaves of absence may be extended by the Employer on a monthly basis. The continuous service and seniority status of an employee shall not be affected or interrupted as a result of leaves of absence described in this Article; provided that, seniority shall not accrue during unpaid leaves of absence. Employees do not accrue personal leave time while on any type of unpaid leave of absence.
